Lui's passing game

I've got to say that Lui is coming on beautifully. There was that magic pass to Ellis and that monster bomb, pure class, but more so I reckon his general passing is awesome. I watched the game again yesterday and his service to Benji is impeccable, super quick and smack bang in the bread basket almost everytime. He still needs to develop a long kicking game but at least we've got Robbie for that.

He seems to be a lot more at ease now and confident that he can play a part in the team. I actually thought against the knights he was better then benji and Friday he wasn't far off him. As said his ball playing is beautiful, you can tell he is a natural half. I think towards the end of the year he will become a lot more dominate and start demanding the ball when he can see something.

I think it would have been very hard coming into a side that is, let's face it, completely controlled by Robbie and Benji.

Slowly, slowly Lui is getting there. I thought he was very quiet in the first 20 on Fri night (only putting in one kick for example), but stepped it up after that, then came out of his shell even more so in the second half.

His passing is excellent, crisp and clean, and you can see he has the vision of a natural half.

He was magic to watch in the 20's ...a ball playing 5/8 constantly putting players into holes....I'll do a Sheensy and compare him in the future to a Jason Smith

Don't say that, otherwise he'll end up at lock.

We all know Shines' love of turning every player into a backrower.

Lock wouldnt be so bad down the track as long as he gets his D in order, hes only 21, still probably has more growing to do....his ball playing is his talent, is his game and as long as its not coached out of him, he'll be fine

I pray that this is said in sarcasm.

Ive been a huge critic of Lui, but if he continues to improve he is certainly looking the goods. The biggest plus has been his improved comitment in defence.

My hot tip is Moltzen is going to return next week and Lui will play in the 2nd row.
I've done a count and that is the 100,000th time someone has said that a player will end play in the second row. It was mildly funny the first time so maybe we can put that line to bed.

Cliff Lyons in the making.

We can only dream he has half as good as career as Cliff had :D

I am a huge Lui fan, In my long time watching Tigers (30 plus years) he is the most talented young half/five eighth I have seen at the club by a long way.

If he is dedicated and continues to develop I think he will be a superstar of the NRL. Too bad he is a Queenslander.

Paul Davis was the best young ball playing no6 I ever saw, similar build to Lui but sadly he spent a lot of time at KFC and ballooned out to a size of a sumo wrestler in no time. Lets hope Lui dosnt go down this path
