Luke Burt Is Parra's Most Influential Player?

So says Gary Freeman....
I just watched Fox's MNF Post Match Show and they were going through the teams and rating their best moment, funniest moment and most influential player and to my surprise The Wiz said that Luke Burt was our most influential player this year. Now I would of rated one of Hindy, Fuifui or Hayne as the most influential Parra Player this year. Anyone else see this or care to comment?

He gets bagged out on here, but he's probably the only guy we've got this year that can read a game skillfully for the team.

He can't always back it up with his own skills or athleticism (or influence, especially if picked on the wing). But when watching at the games it's clear he knows where and how we should be attacking, and he can sense what the opposition are about to do as well.

Hayne should sell his soul for that type of ability, to accompany his own freakish athleticism, and his individual footy skills. Hopefully he's learning everything he can off Burt while Burt's still there.

I agree. I think Burt has been the inspiration behind many of our performances.

lol

this is what i mean with him. He's certainly the nicest guy ever because hardly anyone will ever say a bad word about him. He dogged catching a bomb the other day and the commentators said it was skillful after the ball bounced his way and he made a 20 metre break. He "did well' not to get his hand on one the week before that. He certainly is a much loved player, no denying that.

He's probably too influential. Influential on Parramatta's losing culture.
No doubt a great guy but has become immune to on-field performance criticism.

In what way?

Immune to criticism from you? From the media? The coach?

I'm sure the coaching staff (and Luke himself for that matter) understand his strengths and weaknesses and work on them. He wouldn't have played NRL for so long if that wasn't the case.

Bag his performances if you like, but claiming he's immune from criticism is total f**king rubbish.
