I think the titile pretty much talks for itself....Hodgson is a top player. But he is a farkin crap kicker. He misses one from nearly in fromt and two from the sideline. We lose by two points.

Hodgson is a crap kicker.Wehave a gun in premier league.

FFS......Pick Covell and we win the game......

Hodgson 2 from 4.

Its definitely a liability having Hodgson as kicker...mind you I'm starting to wonder whether we are benefiting from having Mark O'neill in the starting line-up. Could Covell become the next Fitxgibbon? It's a thought...

Bring Covell in for Graham. Did anyone else think Nick didn't have a decent game? I think he might lose his spot to Senter next week.

Yes,And I suppose Luke would of got to 'THAT'ball much quicker that Duffy  and I also Assume he would of barrelled a player in to touch as well like Duffy, not to mention holding up Gulavao over the line. And Im sure Covell would of hammered Amos Roberts down the sideline with a Sattler special as well. Pffft............

Max, I would not have sacrificed Duffy for Covell at all, Duffy was outstanding. I guess people are just missing Covells sharpshooting.

I thought Duffy was great tonight - taking out Amos and scoring his try right in front of us was great to watch. What a debut performance.

Yeah...fair enough, but apart from the early couple of blunders he made when opposing Amos your right he was outstanding considering the amount of time he has been out of the game. The young man making a debut in front of thousands and on T.V.can hold his head high.People are forgetting that not long ago we were getting smashed week in week out.And considering the injury toll and the amount of time they have had to gel.Mate Im excited about what is in store for the future,I mean Gibbs,Lima etc....etc.......etc.....etc.........etc.......etc...........etc.........Honestly we are not going to win the premiership this year anyway and we knew that!!!And no one remembers who came second. So lets look forward to the future and think outside the square. :)

Not as a winger but as backrower. That's where Sheens has instructed Georgallis to play him now, so why not bring him up and slot him in the backrow. i'd prefer his boot with an average that is well above the 80% mark kicking goals then Hodgo's boot which is at 63%.

Were just starting to get some size and aggro back in our pack....Covell in our first grade pack would be a backward move....he was just first grade standard on the wing...dont wanna rookie forward in our pack jus yet...no matter how good his boot is.

i think we need viane more than covell in the backrow.
just wish viane was back to his old self.

would rather a player that creates opportunites for the team, than someone who adds 2 points to the 4 that were created.

but in saying that,if he is making good yardage in pl then why not.
the question is,is he actually making plenty of yards and creating second phase play.because if he isn't doing that in pl,i don't want to see him make only 30 yards in first grade just so he can kick.

Apparently Yappy was saying Covell had and has been one of the standout performer's in the Magpie side in recent weeks, even playing in the backrow. So that's gotta say something. He's a big lad too, has height, as well as size too now, thanks to a beefy off-season training regime. I'd also love to see Gravy back in 1st Grade. Although i'd play him in the Centre's. a bit of mongrel outwide is what is needed. Some spark. Someone who can zoom onto the ball and knock players out of their way. Viane has shown he has the ability to do so. The depth is there, its up to Sheens to utilise it.
