The Cov is going to prove everyone wrong and score a hat trick.

yeap him and mannering are going to form a great centre-wing combo. A try-scoring combo known as the 'great white hopes'.

Well, we all know you wont be happy until the kiwis and warriors teams are both black as a moonless night...

However, i agree Covell is pretty average and can see no need for him in the team. Perrett --> fullback, Inu --> wing

Covell's last rep match I think was playing for NZL A, which meant he had put his hand up for NZL selection, ruling him out of any Australian rep teams.

I cant really see any need for him, he is a good goal kicker, but Inu can kick goals.

Not a good forward pack, they still need SBW, Kidwell and Cayless.

I was joking you fool.

What are you on about all I want is the best players on the paddock. Covell is no where near the best we can offer obviously ever except ol CWO agree.

One of the modern day rugby league entertainers. A large passionate group of Kiwi Supporters, including myself, have called for his selection in the Kiwi side for years. He made a one off Cameo appearance in 2005 which included a 16 point haul, and an enthralling solo try, where he stood up 4 defenders.

His selection in this 19 man squad is a great day for New Zealand Rugby League. One can only dream of the day Luke Covell, Sonny Bill and Benji Marshall are picked in the same team. The Flair, The Excitement, The Skill that the 3 possess would have defenders in stitches all throughout the world. That day, whatever the date, should be written down, as it will be the resurgence of rugby league in New Zealand. I am not sure if Covell can win this series for the Kiwis individually, as it shows at the Sharks, one brilliant man cant do it all. But my word, with him now in the side, they will go mighty close.

But they had initially asked him to play for kiwis (when he was an up and comer) - but from my understanding he turned them down and said he wanted to play for australia or origin.

He soon realisd he wasnt that good and flip flopped back to NZ - only to play for NZ a - two years in a row.

At the end of the game no matter what the result I know for sure
that Covell will be able to hold his head high.
