Great player. Also seems a great bloke. Took the time to chat with me outside Win stadium one night, and I'm probably not the most gracious person when it comes to the sharks. Took the stirring with good humor, and gave it back in the same way.

If we had a game full of blokes like Luke Lewis it'd be a great(er) comp.

Very fortunate to meet him a couple times in his Panther days. Very down to earth and one of the toughest players I've seen. If I could pick a 1-17 of my favourite non Storm players he'd be there.

My favourite player of all time.

I love him so much that now he’s retiring I will genuinely lose an amount of enthusiasm for the game.

Such a good player. A players player. Does things on the field most don’t notice. Runs the toughest lines, hits like a train in defence; has never been accused of being a grub.

Achieved everything in the game and kicked cancers arse along the way. In the era of grubs like Smith, Slater, Gallen etc he was a shining light.

There is footage of me pushing an old man out of the way to shake his hand at the GF post match function in 2016.

Only edge fwd that has managed to nullify Ponga this year.
