sad day indeed, one of the NQ greats and one of the main cogs in Muzzs engine to turn the club around post 2003. Glen Morrison leaving the club and saying he will never get picked for the blues whilst at the club and being replaced by LOD who was wearing a blues jumper 18 months later made me smile a bit.

Would have been great to see how much more he could have achieved with a lot less trips to the judiciary and the close equivalent of having his leg ripped off (from memory he was a few mm from never walking properly again). One of the most underrated backrows of 00's was LOD, Southern and Norton.

Please....Southern had once decent season. He's not fit to shine Norton's boots. And to mention him in the same breath as LOD is criminal.

More like 1.5-2 good seasons

04-05 were his best years.

Back to LOD, not afraid to say it but I had a man crush on this bloke. Probably too aggressive for his own good, i reckon he got the raw end of the deal a couple of times at the judiciary but a few times he was well and truly rightfully suspended. He was about 20 years too late imo, in the 80's he would have got away with most of the onfield stuff he got into trouble for.

Hearing him scream in agony against the tigers through the sports ears after that wishbone tackle is something I will never forget, was sickening.

Glad to see the Cowboys fans remember him for being a key cog in their first charge towards the finals - he was great for them and deserved all the opportunities to play representative footy.

Just unlucky with injuries at the end of the day, his Origin debut was cut short after breaking his finger and after the wishbone incident, he was never quite the same player.

Honestly, how he wasn't sent in Origin II 2010 defies belief really.

I consider him overrated by Cowboys fans and a general cheap thug.

Was never too concerned when picked for NSW either.

Perfect example of a talented player with absolute shit for brains.

I'll never forget the Cowboys loss to the Tigers in 2010. Thurston went off injured in the first half so you'd think O'Donnell would step up as a leader. Instead his brain exploded and the thug got himself sin binned.

He won't be missed.

Never forget that rorted 04 semi final against the Roosters, where so called "tough guy" Mick Crocker got the shit belted out of him after trying to intimidate the Cowboys.

He was rolling around delirious on the ground and the best part was that as it wasn't captured on camera there was nothing the refs could do about it.

Don't know about the rorted part, but as a Rooster fan he made me almost sh it myself in fear that day.

He was just immense.

Definitely one crazy mofo, but I always enjoyed watching him play and glad he got to finish the way he did.
