And what is it that is sooooo bad anyway?

Is this a real reason OR just a bargaining chip?

Well Cannings came to Parr and Lyon went to Wee Waa.

So much for that theory.

I'd feel pretty betrayed by Lyon If I were Aaron Cannings. Here Jamie was telling him how great the club and how he should join, and Aaron joined partially because of that. Now Lyon wants to play for Cannings old club Manly, i'd feel pretty annoyed if I were him.

Wasn't long ago Jamie signed a 5 year deal. Brian Smith's coaching was exactly the same back then as it is today.

That's probably whats happened, he convinced Parramatta to sign his mate Aaron Cannings to make him feel more confortable. Then in the pre-season Jamie wasnt happy, then it was revealed after the Canterbury game.

If its true what Ray Hadley is saying, then Smith should see the door.

Was it really?

And if it was and the players were a little bit annoyed then, but tolerating it, maybe after another year, levels of tolerance drop.

That rumour has been going around for a while........ started not long after he left. The fact is Noel's other son and Jamie are apparently good mates so its not hard to see how it started. Just have to wait and see what happens -

Eels to rethink Lyon decision
By Dean Ritchie
May 24, 2004

PARRAMATTA chief executive Denis Fitzgerald yesterday conceded his club could again this week consider a request to release runaway centre Jamie Lyon.

Lyon wrote a letter to Fitzgerald last week asking he be released from his Eels contract to play with his mates in Wee Waa.

In his Sunday Telegraph column yesterday, broadcaster Ray Hadley revealed the letter had been sent to Fitzgerald and that the player did not want to continue playing under coach Brian Smith.

"We will discuss this week Jamie's request that he be released to play for Wee Waa," Fitzgerald said. "He has put that in writing.

"The board is likely to be given a recommendation by our management and legal representatives."
