That would be close to the best backline in the comp imo. It's pretty balanced with quality halves centres and fullback. The only weak link is Elford (not because he's no good, just because he'd be out of position).

Geeeeeez..........don't know why Moodie could'nt hang around for another season,even if only on an incentive basis contract. :?

I don't think Elford would have too many problems switching to the wing.

He is a pretty good defender so it shouldnt be a problem there. He would just have to be good under the high ball.

He has got enough speed off the mark to be a real threat on edge of the field. I think it wouldn't be much of a problem.

To be honest with you my first impression was that Dennis Fitzgerald was saying this in order to make Jamie available to certain club's so as Manly don't sue Parramatta for restriction of trade,and my source confirmed this.

But in the interim Sheen's has had a change of heart,you see the thing is we have almost $200k left under our budget and they have decided to chase Lyon by paying him less for the first year signed in order to keep him under the cap and as stated paying him more as his contract progresses.At this stage we are trying to get a sponsor for Jamie but at this stage he is 60% chance of coming to us.

Elford actually started off playing 1st grade as a fullback for the Panthers,ao i`m sure he`d play ok on the wing.Simon Greally really impresses me though.He can`t be left out of 1st grade too much longer and since Hodgo is immovable as fullback then Greally must be looked at as a winger!

I would imagine that if we were lucky enough to get Lyon, then Turner won't be coming. If we've only got about 200k left, all of it will have to go to Lyon to seriously consider us no matter what we offered for the following years.

How many times have you seen him outside his winger this year? Elford already interchanges with his winger as is...
