This is poor forum etiquette, but it's a paid telegraph article so I can't provide details? Does anyone know any more? is it per year or over several years? Allegedly getting back of jersey position where "rise for Alex" was.

If true, his product would have been the perfect TPA- much easier for an NRL player to promote a protein shake compared to car dealerships etc. You'd have to think that money would be much more valuable as extra cap space compared to sponsorship money for the club.

3rd party my first thought too. We are no doubt short in other areas too though, and being owned by the nrl, they were probably more interested in us breaking even at this stage than extra player payments

Doogs must be raking in the coin.

I doubt it could be used as TPP ever due to doogs playing 150 odd games for the knights.

If he wasn't a sponsor of the club, how could he be breaking any rules by doing TPP instead?

$300K into the clubs coffers and not towards strengthening the player roster (which in turn would bolster the clubs coffers). We really need some competent management...

A bit of encouraging news in regards to TPAs from Baz Toohey. Slow burn but better than nothing. apparently there about two or three available. Not huge but enough to make players take notice.

The Dog wasn't ever going to stump up for a TPA. The TPA goes to a player specifically and not the club.

Maddog wants exposure, hence the clubs jersey and I dare say ground signage.
