Billy got cranky about Reece being targeted, Madge hit back with his glass houses comment and Billy got confused btw his employers and his qld duties.

My read? No denial by Madge as good as an admission that Billy was right. Hitting him in mid-air after he kicked off the 1st set corroborates that.

Doesn't excuse Billy's past at all, fair call but still a deflection.

Madge is out if his depth and up against a much better coach, and he knows it. Bill stood up for himself. Next Bill will put it aside to facilitate the best response: Victory at the MCG.

All the replies in the world don't beat a victory next Wednesday.

It might have been a supremely stupid move to pick on Slater. Given how respected he is by the QLD playing group. If QLD win by a landslide in Game 2, Madge might just have started that ball rolling.
