Sounds good to me. There's less people clamouring to run them now too, so that'll make things a bit easier.

I don't have time at the moment, but yeah I think people lost interest when we got to experimenting and running two at once. Another thing for me was when we headed away from subject matter I knew/liked... Apart from Ashes I haven't known the basis for quite a few recent games. I'd rather do NRL, GoT or Walking Dead (or Mis' randoms) x 2 or 3 rather than digging into things I know nothing about.

The next random will blow things back up again. They're like the origin of mafia. I think user input helps things immensely.

 I hope so.

I'd be keen to run it right away, but I'll step back to let Drew and JM run their games first.

Well, Mis, if you're ok with me using the concept, I'd love to run a 'Random' mafia. I have no doubt it will pale in comparison to yours, but if people enjoy contributing characters etc, and people are happy to join in, then I'm happy to give the people what they want :)

I'm keen to keep the Random Mafia 'brand' :)sarcasm:) to myself  I reckon your traditional mafia or an NRL mafia would work.

It's hardly dead in the water. We have 28 for the current game, which is still large by some standards.

Having the same core group playing over and over also lends itself to mafia feeling a bit same at times and due to work/study/life most people's posting habits are fairly predictable/repetitive too.

Themes are hard to judge because everyone likes different things. The things that are more universally known were obviously the first ones done. Wouldn't mind getting a vote on a few different themes and then hosts put their hand up for them.

Random is always good. Maybe some broader themes would be good rather than specific ie Action heroes/villians drawing on different films, sitcom mafia with a bunch of different sitcoms stars, or even a series of FFB games but in different settings ie prison (prison break), deserted island (lost), zombie apocalypse (TWD) etc that encompass a theme without the necessary knowledge required of the theme.

Cool, I'll run a traditional murder / mystery and write it up as something... familiar. Maybe Simpsons again.

I don't think the sign ups has changed all that much. Keep in mind that HH started a new job and struggles for time, D10 likewise with uni, and Dutchy is who knows where in Europe at the moment. 30+ is easy enough to get.

It's the participation in the thread that probably hurts the games, again due to various reason, most being real life related.

TWD hit close to if not over 100 pages, these days mafia is lucky to hit 50, some as low as 20-25.

You can get sign ups for your game up tomorrow if you like, Drew. Miser's Falls is getting pretty close to wrapping up.

I'll run my game when on Uni break, I plan to play a few- no idea how active I'll be. I got a decent timetable so I should have time on my hands, pending work. (I work for myself/my dad now so my times are more flexible and free- finally).

Once Drew and Jason are done, I'd be happy/keen as mustard to run Random Mafia III. When is Uni break, D10?

Looks to be the best Summerslam in years too.

Going to Universal Studios, a Chinatown Festival, Summerslam axxess, Summerslam, Mick Foley stand up, Disneyland and Raw within three days. Pretty packed weekend.

Back on topic, i will be looking to run one when i get back, probably sometime after mid September or so.
