It just kind of pisses me off that the US has been in a golden age of comedy yet only Modern Family and to a lesser extent the Office have rated well.

I assume you're excluding How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, and The Big Bang Theory from said golden age? I believe they're some of the highest rating ones.

Ratings are f**ked. The target age they are after, the 18-25 or whatever it is, don't have TVs, or don't watch TV on their TVs . So the shitty ratings things don't take them into account at all.

It is terrible, and dying, hopefully. Apparently the ratings are going to be taking into account twitter activity, but that's still crappy.
