Mafia Movies

I'd like to ask you all an honest question. Let's face it, there has been hundred's of movies about this sub-human filth called the Mafia/ Cosa Nostra. Do any of you believe that kids today could look at the sh*t they do, in the movie sense, and then want to become a part of this sub-human filth of an organisation ?

I mean for example, my old man is an old guy, real old. But he loves watching these mafia flicks. OK he's too old, but do we really want to see young kids join these filthy organisations ? People glorify these scum movies these days, but why ? They are true filth, and always have been. So why is hollywood so obsessed with filth ? Ok it sells a dollar, but when you look at American society, you realise THE COST.

America has extensive problems with gangs/youth gangs , however I dont think watching Scarface or Once Upon A Time In America would have anything to do with it. Kids are joining these gangs for a multitude of reasons that far outway the movie issues. Racial background and the racism of modern society, and peer pressure ( where you live etc ) would be more of a reason than this.
