Kyle gets a pass mark apparently.. guarantee if his dad wasn't the head coach he wouldn't get this many chances.
Dunno if Kyle gets a pass, but he had his best ever season playing at halfback for the Roosters. I think it's worth a shot. But yes, Old Flanno was never going to sack young Flanno as his first option.

I agree, it wasn’t good enough but everyone has a bad day at the office every now and then including you, me and everyone else in here, just like the players.

Let’s see how they respond, that’s all I’m asking. There’s only so many times you can chop and change players.
Being Anzac day made it all that much worse for me anyway we will see what happens this week

So are you suggesting Flanno replace Kyle and Lachlan in one hit and replace them with LKT and Glover. That’s a huge disaster just waiting to happen. Then what if they both struggle??
Honestly would rather Illias stay at 7 and bring LKT into the 6. Kyle drops to reserves and shows that he can control a team before getting the 7 jersey. Doesn't seem fair to me that Kyle gets the 7 just like that after a measily 2 kicks last week and done nothing to alleviate the pressure of his halves partner

If the half goes then surely one or two forwards have to follow.

It's a moot point because the present is the present but it wasn't that many years ago that a player like Guler, Lawrie or an old version of Klemmer would feel extremely fortunate to sneak onto the bench for the Dragons. Now they get to be first picked. The fact that we as fans accept it is the best proof on how far our standards have fallen.

No it is not panic stations in a long season, but at the same time, we are still very much on that never ending road to nowhere by picking the same team.

Suli should be in the firing line.
Leilua should be in the firing line.
The coach's son should be too.
Lawrie should finish his career on 150 games.

If only we were serious...

Dropping your halfback this early in the season is a massive concern. If LKT does come in this week it could take a good month to build combinations. This could make or break our season on Saturday.
Poor kid will end up the next scapegoat if we don't get any better. Terrible way to bring a young bloke through walking on eggshells knowing Kyle has the 6 or 7 jersey regardless of performance hope he does well though

I agree it's not ideal but what do you do if the halves aren't performing? But if they do drop Ilias, it shouldn't take months to build combinations. Roosters dumped Chad Townsend, replaced him with a young bloke and straightaway looked a much better side for it.

Totally disgusting decision and Flanagan is clearly panicking.
I’m panicking every Tuesday seeing the same shitty team being picked every week after they played like shit the week before. Maybe this will send a message to the rest of the team that if you play like shit, you’ll be replaced. Let’s see how the other plodders do if they think they can lose their spot in first grade if they don’t step up

If Flanno can get the defensive line to move up quickly (and straight) it will go a long way to improving our performance across the field. It is the root of all our problems.
When we play teams who don't take advantage of it or they also have poor defensive line speed, we look like an OK team.
The Roosters did it to us for 60mins of last week and it got them field position, put pressure on our attack, our kicking from our 40m line, and we turned over possession with errors....and we were very fatigued.

No line speed and stopping after two steps and retreating is something that appeared under coach Price and has rarely left our team since.
It is why so many average players look so good when they come up against the Dragons, we give them time and space to play and make decisions.
