I like the forward pack make up.
Young guns Toby, Egan, Stewart all starting, then experience off the bench.
I’m fine with the changes to the backline, I don’t know much about LKT but worth a look, Ilias looked average with the ball.
Unlucky for Finau but he did look all at sea in defence, Allan gets his shot until CTP is back.
Big game, looking forward to it!

Are any of you ever happy hahah. We played like absolute shit and now complaining of the changes!
- Finau had an absolute SHOCKER in defence and maybe needed another chance but made 3 errors coming out of own 20.
- Illias had to get dropped, though Kyle shouldn’t be far away!! Though in saying that I think Kyle has been the better of the two WHEN he gets involved.
- Been losing the forward battle so moving JDB to come on as impact is good hopefully Stewart & Egan play 80!! Meaning JDB will play front row and luch (he’s lucky to not be following lawrie to reserves)

Changes NEEDED to happen. So let’s back the coach and see how we go!!

So you didn’t want any changes to the team?
Or you wanted different changes?
You reckon dropping Luc makes us more threatening?
What’s the best 17 for this game? genuine question.
Not sure what you want me to add. Like Toes suggested, the game against the Roosters was clearly lost in the forwards and we drop two backs. That sends an odd message to the team.

So you’re are keeping the 1-7 as per last week.
What forward changes are you making? Who comes in for who?

I don't usually defend Lawrie but why was he dropped? No way was he our worse forward last week. Look at the stats.
OK, so Lawrie stays for you, who you dropping and who comes in?
I don’t want to be a dick, but if you are criticising the teamlist this week, fair enough, but it doesn’t sound like you have a solution or better team? Other than keep backline as it is and keep Lawrie.

Probably because we can't have two props (lawrie and klemmer) playing short stints of 25-30 mins in our rotation. Need some longer minutes. Not completely sure but that's how I see it anyway. Lawrie has been decent.

Klemmer against his old club might have a point to prove.

I hope you're right. I think we're all frustrated because we don't have a good front row, can't seem to buy one, and nothing else matters til we have one.

I wouldn't be shocked if Loko makes his debut as he just signed a 2 year extension with us.

I'm very happy with the changes Illias has been very poor, I've never rated him LKT played well for us on the back of last season, plus a message needs to be sent if you play like rubbish you won't be selected.

Corey Allen getting the wing spot well it's not Matt Feagai so I'd say it's an improvement before he got injured I think he played SOO so he can't be bad I guess.

Lawrie he wasn't that bad last week but Tigpies have a young fit forward pack (not necessarily aggressive) but Lawrie will get gassed after 3 minutes against them.

Like most people on this forum I comment on particular issues, sometimes in favour, sometimes against. If it's now a requirement to justify our comments with a full team selection, 1 to 17 with reasons why we picked certain players, it's going to be a pretty tedious forum. Not to mention wordy.

Lawrie was dropped. Luc & DeBelin demoted to bench. Stewart back in. That’s 4 changes to the forwards or double the changes he made to the backs.
The odd message you’re implying the coach is sending isn’t matched by the evidence on the team sheet.

Welcome to his little world mate, he can contradict his own posts by the week, but god forbid anyone question his man the coach.

I’m happy with the changes in the forwards, we need these young guys to play 80, while our older guys have a spell.
The changes to the backs are a bit puzzling. Finau, yeah sure, he made some mistakes in defence, but sure offers plenty of speed. Suli has been woeful in defence all season. Perhaps he should be dropped in favour of Allan. Teams have been targeting him and Sloan for a few weeks now, the Tigers will do the same. The other thing with Suli, other than a few hit ups, what else is he offering in attack? I can’t remember the last time he beat his opposite number.

The other change in the halves, I agree with other posters, Illias has not been much worse or better than Kyle. We need a kicker, for me, I would have left Illias with strict instructions to kick us around the park.LTK as a running 5/8. Kyle to hooker, with liddle in the bench. Cook would be the one I dropped.

Your comment was about team selection so I was curious to hear what you would have liked to see regarding team selection.
Forum is a funny place, if same team is selected people are outraged that there is no accountability and it’s too conservative with pick and stick. If players are dropped it’s unfair because it wasn’t their fault we lost last week.
When asked who would have been the better option to drop people say dunno.
Anyway, im personally happy with the changes, I would have been OK with Finau getting another week but do feel a bit safer in defence with the more experienced Allen, Tigers score a bunch out wide.
And looking forward to seeing what LKT brings, Ilias and Kyle are too same same, need some attacking options.
