Raiders ?
While they are certainly seeming like one of the top sides this year, i wouldn't say they have been all that consistent either. Their losses against Manly and Cowboys were pretty bad, they have also still been giving sides leads they shouldn't be (though I guess that is consistent with them isn't it).

This weekend should be a good test though, it's the game of the round for me.

Personally I think the coach explains things well. Money talks bulls##t walks we will see tonight what they are made of.
I thought he spoke pretty well at the press conference. His reasons for giving Illias a break in reserve grade made sense, he spoke well about reasons why Lachlan was struggling and he even admitted that he wasn’t sure if it was the right call and that they would find out on the weekend. All you want from the coach is forthrightness. I also like that Flanno seems prepared to gamble a bit this year with some of the young players coming through. Last year he was forced to play LKT in the final few games. This time around he is picking him because he thinks it’s best for the team. He seems genuinely excited about the young crop of players we have at the club.
And while I was never sold on the Ilias signing I do hope he finds his mojo in NSW cup and shows us what he‘s got.
In the meantime I hope LKT has a blinder. Would be nice to have a Dragons half we can get excited about. Haven’t had one of those since Widdop and before that, Sowie.

Couldn’t agree with your sentiments more, let’s all wish LKT the best as he launches a long and successful career with the red V, and that other juniors follow him through.

LKT will at least offer some variation to our attack.
Could create a few headaches for the Tigers defence down our left side.
He also has a handy short kicking game as well.

“But Kyle has been one of our best players this year,” the St George Illawarra coach said.
His form has been fine. This year and last year, he was excellent....
Wow no nepotism to see here ....
Honestly Flanno is taking the piss out of us fans right now. Not going to be negative about tonight but I tell you what Kyle better have an absolute cracker and help LKT control the game because if he doesn't what does Flanno do? Drop Kyle? No chance LKT will cop all the criticism and if we win Kyle will get all the praise it's unbelievable. I hope we win obviously but this is a danger game and could see our season spiral downhill real quick. Keen to see young LKT, I don't expect the world from him I just hope he backs himself and has a go especially with a handbrake of a halves partner to rely on.

Surprised he’s playing DeBelin off the bench but let’s see.
I much prefer De Belin starting off the bench. He strengthens the team for the 10 mins before and after half time and is stronger during the final 15 mins of the game. The key is to play tight in the first 15 mins and not allow the opposition to score 1-2 tries.
He should definitely be re-signed for 2026.

Which team is going to turn up? Nervous for the first time in a while, a loss tonight would be a massive blow I think we can do it if our forwards aim up but I'm worried we are going to get absolutely monstered through the middle and be on the backfoot most of the game. Who's going to inevitably have to kick us out of trouble? Let's see what happens. GO THE SAINTS!
