Yes much disappointment this year.

Yesterday, we were playing a tigers team on the up and who have recruited very well this year. Last week the Tigers were very strong in repelling the sharks and winning a tie breaker game. ( personally hate the concept and just award a point to each team ).

Other than Roosters we are in the hunt most games this year.i haven’t given up a spot in the 8 yet.

Season is done and dusted mate. Don’t let this pathetic club manipulate you. We will finish 12th

I’ve watched a few of your games this season and actually thought Flanagan has been one of your better players. Is a big effort player and just doesn’t seem to have any real quality around him. Beautiful pass for that Su’a no try. Probably should have scored himself in the second half when he should have gone low, but also thought Su’a could have scored a couple of plays earlier if he just pinned his ears back into the contact rather than stopping and jinking.

Flanagan isn’t perfect, but I feel he is the least of your problems. Positive is you seem to have some quality young forwards.

With comparable possession, completion rate, runs, run metres, average set distance, and post-contact metres, how on God's green earth do you lose a game with 12 line breaks to their 2, 42 tackle breaks to their 16, and 16 missed tackles compared to their 42? Absolutely mind-blowing stuff. We should have won the game in a hand canter with those stats.

Positives...

Obviously everyone knows how great a player Val Holmes is, but he stands out like dog's balls in our team. Thank God he's signed till the end of 2027.

The future of the pack does look bright if we can keep this crop together. I posted when they debuted that the Couchman's will rep by their mid twenties, I still believe that. Egan has a big future, but the one I knew very little about and who has impressed me no end is Hamish Stewart. For someone who's played a handful of first-grade games, he looks like a tremendous prospect too and right at home in the top grade. Imagine what he'll look like with a couple more preseasons under his belt. He'll be an absolute enforcer for us, no doubt.

Negatives...

AAH, f##k it, you saw it all, I can't be bothered... Too depressing.

PS: Re-sign Liddle or I'm really gunna be pissed...

I’m done with this pathetic club. Hopefully warriors but 50 on us. If the players and coach don’t care why should we ??? Nothing has improved in 11 years. We’re the same incompetent mediocre club for over a decade. We need to remove the cancer Illawarra name from the once proud club. We’re doomed.
Why would you do that, most of our good young players come from down here.

I have not posted for a while because I want to refrain from criticising and upseting so many in here who refuse to see the truth
If any of you want me to unleash let me know
Otherwise I will go back into my hole and pretend everything is wonderful
At least there is a few on here who refuse to be shut down with the glaring truth.
Mate on Facebook

Each week like others on here I hope and watch to see maybe just maybe we start to click and dominate....but sadly just another rinse and repeat...one of the most disappointing features amongst others which pisses me off big time and its killing us is the way opposition teams just gain metre after metre with consumate ease ....and I might add most of the time it's against teams lower than us on the ladder....we are quick to lay the blame on Flanno Snr (and at times with justification) but just imagine if Mr Young gets full rein in the coaching role....FMD if that was to ever happen that would do me

The people calling for Flanagan sacking would LOVE for young to take over!!! Sometimes the grass isn’t greener on the other side, no one else would be able to get us out of the rut!! We have improved! Each loss (besides roosters ) has been under 10 points but people don’t see past that 🤦‍♂️

I don't know of anyone on here who is calling for Young to replace Flanagan, have I missed someone saying they'd love for Young to take over?

Your logic is extremely flawed by the premise that Young must take over from Flanagan (as if there are no other options). Also your claim that no one else could do a better job than Flanagan, I beg to differ, there are a lot of better coaches out there than him, he could be delivering much better results.

You claim that we all look past that our losses have been by narrow margins in all but one game, well how about you seemingly looking past that our winning margins have also been narrow in all but one game?

Unfortunately for Flanagan, wins are your currency as a coach and he has a negative win/loss record as head coach of the dragons.
If his record doesn't improve to a positive win/loss record than questions will soon be asked about whether he is the right coach for the team and as you know, I have stated from the beginning that he isn't.

We won’t pay the money for good players. All on the cheap or finishing their footy life. We can’t compete until the management is about wanting the Dragons to win footy games and that takes good recruiting and money.
