That’s not what magic weekend is though, that’s like saying the olympics should just be a formula 1 race.
I know its a full round for the teams in Super League but I think SL season is too long so be nice to have a 9s Rugby instead but saying that I enjoyed the Friday much more seeing Newcastle giving Bradford a testing game.

How does this shorten the Super league season?

You know the championship sides have their own version of this already don't you?

Yes but would rather fans from all clubs from all pro/semi pro leagues have a weekend together watching 9 a side League as I suspect the bigger crowds staying in the stadium compared to 13 a side as if your team is not playing then you on the piss in Newcastle etc.

Matty Johns had an idea that although a pipe dream would be awesome, play Magic weekend at Wembley with the final game State of Origin. He suggested that SOO has potentially peaked and we should make hay while the sun shines, use it to try and get 90k at Wembley before its to late.

With all due respect to SOO, would 90k people in London even know what it is, let alone attend to watch it?

Why can’t you have both?

Magic weekend is well liked why destroy it?
