Any dragons fans who are missing a footy fix should get along to Ziems Park Corrimal on Friday evening and saturday, as the 12th annual Maguire and McInerney League Sevens is held. Some great talent will be on display in the under 18 division which starts proceedings on Fri at 6pm, 5 senior games are also on the Friday night schedule. Play resumes on Saturday at 8.40pm, with quarter finals from 4.30pm and the final at 6.40pm.
With teams from Illawarra, St George, Manly Parramatta, Penrith, Cronulla, Wests, Souths, and group 7 districts, and NSW Tertiary Cup, and the international teams representing Italy, Greece, Fiji and CcokiSlands, as well as Victoria Uni Hunters from NZ, a great day of exciting footy is assured. the ground should be buzzing with a good crowd and carnival atmosphere. All pacific Island teams are invited to perform thier hakas, and the Cook Islanders are promising to come in big numbers, equipped with drums and plenty of vocal support.
Come along and support grass roots footy, and assist the club that gave us Ben Creagh, produce a few more for the dragons.
