I love the idea of an 8 team federation cup... I also love the idea of tours.. Like the Wallabies do.. It's then up to Australia to actually participate but if they don't then the other nations will start getting a jump on them.. The domestic comps need to be shorter though to accommodate a couple of extra internationals.. For instance.. NZ go to England this year.. They play France and they play Leeds as well... if the competitions were a few weeks shorter so maybe 22 rounds then they couple play a couple more either at home before they go or away against Wales and Scotland.. With an extended squad this is a decent tour and great for development.. not Just a tacked on few games.. Exciting times lets hope the NRL and RFL get fully behind it to hasten the progress!!
