Making the Finals

There was a Fox Sports article recently where Chris Lawrence made the comment that the Tigers are in Finals mode as they cannot afford to drop another game.

With Farah back from injury, Blair and Marshall starting to show glimpses of form, can the Tigers win enough matches to make the eight and be there come September?

My opinion is no we can't. I'd love to be wrong and it could happen but I think the odds are low.

I would be happy with Potter figuring out where players can fit in over the next couple of seasons.

Might be a bit early to say.

Between now and round 20 we have a few home games and the bye. There is the potential (starting tomorrow) to get another 10 points by round 20. Not easy but you never know. A bit of luck and we might just make it but it needs to start tomorrow.

I think they are dreaming ! hopefully they will,but i recall last year the players kept talking up their chances if they made the finals and they failed to make it.

You couldn't confidently predict anything in the Nrl these days.

We'd hopefully have a better run with injuries for these last 10 or so games. That should translate to more wins, starting with one tonight against melbourne

If we come any higher than 15th, with this squad and the run of injuries, we've overachieved. I'd be delighted with a 12th place finish.

There will be a logjam for the last couple spots in the top 8, as usual.

If we do manage to make it into that fight, which I think we have a small chance of with some luck, our for and against will totally f**k us.

Next week is HUGE, if we get up against Cronulla we go to 7-9 and taking us into the bye with 3 wins on the trot. If we go down we will be 6-10. I think with our f/a we may need to win 13 games unless we dish out a few thrashings on the run in, so if we lose next week we will need to win 7 of our last 8. Even though 6 from 8 will be tough, the momentum we'd have from winning 3 on the trot combined with the confidence gained by getting players back from injury will be huge.
