Hey Salford reds WA -I've heard of Salford you tosser if you had read my post correctly, however I hadn't heard of Alker. Sorry to burst your bubble but in Oz we only really discuss players from the glamour clubs like Leeds, Bradford, St Helens etc.

You clowns are dreaming, if he was as good as you reckon bee sting lips Noble would have given him a run in that sub standard Pommie pack by now, and I'm sure other glamour ESL sides would have signed him up long ago.

Any side that has Junior Langi and John Wilshere starting in their side can't be taken seriously, give us a break.

As for your your comment re the Dragons missing the finals once again, mate we finished equal first in Minor premiership and generally make the semis every year. Let's talk about your two bit operation, when was the last time the Salford Reds won the ESL premiership? Aren't you blokes perennial relegation fodder lol!

Substandard pack. Yes, but our hooker still made Danny Duderus look like a fan who'd won a golden gamble prize to play for the Roos. Alker isn't considered for GB because there is nothing to consider for that position when Cunningham is playing. Is Cunningham misses out this year, Alker would play.

I've said it millions of times and I'll say it again. GB doesn't have the depth and the quality of players Aus and NZ have, but there are individuals in Super League who would be top stars in the NRL. Alker for one would get into all but a couple of the NRL starting 13's, as would many more in Super League.

Alker could be a hit in Oz. Very tough and a hard working player. I rate him highly.

He couldn't be coached by anyone better than Sir Jimmy Lowes.

They have been after him for years, he's a very loyal Salford man though. He won't ever leave them unless it is to the NRL, and that would just be to live a dream of playing for GB.

Firstly, Dean Young is a backrower playing out of position, and he's very overrated by Laurie Daley and the rest of the media, if you think he's better than Alker then you're just an idiot.

And secondly, you're here telling us Alker is a crap player using only the fact he plays for Salford (who are having a great year for the record) as your reasoning, and you've never seen him play. Shouldn't you be excited at the prospect of a player who is as highly rated as Alker joining your club? He wouldn't be on big money, and would never let the Dragons down. He's absolute class, I know there isn't much of that at the Dragons with sauce spurting Gaz and underwear workout Baz but it isn't a bad thing to have at your club.

Sorry to burst your bubble but salford are a small, decrepid little club with no fans and a crap stadium so it's little wonder an aussie hasn't heard of them.

At first I though Salford were sh*t to say the least but I've watched them alot and they are really growing on me. A quality side and they are showing it at the moment on the table.

Alker is great, one of the best hookers in the ESL and definately up there in general. Saints would do well to lure him over but i know the Bulldogs need a hooker also... Corey Hughes and Adam Perry don't cut it
