Uncle Sad, do your thang with that quote.

lyle?
I like the Maloney signing, sure it is a typical Sharks signing at the end of a career, but he is a big improvement on what we have now and we needed a replacement for Carney.
Whilst age is an issue with a lot of our squad, we seem to have some very good young players coming through so experience is important now to achieve a good mix whilst the younger players learn and hopefully keep us in the top 8 sides each year. Then by the time the older blokes retire we will either steal a premiership on the way or be very well placed to win one with the next generation being experienced and in their prime.
The biggest thing is they don't throw too much money at the top up players so we can actually keep the youngsters when they are worth more
He is 29 but only debuted at 23 and will come off contract at 32. Not a lot of miles on the legs and a proven winner.
we have a very young backline, having a winner at 6 in his early 30's isn't a bad thing. He will be our leader
All true. For me its about who we pair him with.
Chad has become a solid half with the warriors but put the two of them together and I'm sure we will see quite a few dour games. Maloney does shine creatively, but he can (often this year) play well but nothing special.
Bird gotta be given a dozen games as a centre. He is going great guns at 5/8 but being young he panics and makes some crazy decisions too often. Bird paired with Maloney could work but would always wonder how would he go at centre...
By next year Bird will have another dozen games under his belt, i could see the backline as
1. Barba
2. Holmes
3. Beale
4. Gagan/Bird
5. Feki/Gagan
6. Bird/ Brown.n
7. Maloney
1. Rogers
2. Holmes
3. Barba
4. Bird
5. Gagan
6. Maloney
7. Tracey
Fixed it for you
A bit early for random 2016 teams isn't it?
Even for this forum.
