Look, he tackled well like usual however, he was by no means a standout and certainly did not deserve MOM, not many did standout to think about it but I did think Gal was everywhere and was punishing in defence.

yep gallen deserved it, cam smith got it by default..he was involved in everything, i think there wasnt one set of 6 he wasnt some how involved in..and that break he had was the shortest break in a while..well done to him

bird was a bit quite for his standards though..

Can't wait to see all those pussies that said Gallen's selection was a joke eat some humble Farkin pie.

He'll walk into the NSW team with his head held high.

He did have a great game.

Doesn't make his selection any more deserved. There could have been a few others who could have done equally a great job.

Take nothing away from Gallen though, he was awesome.

if gallen wasnt MOTM he was a close 2nd. Great game by him.

Birdy on the other hand wasn't up to his high rep standard.. I would of loved to of seen him run off lockyer. maybe in 2009....

Birdy didn't get enough ball with space because Cameron 'the hog' Smith likes to promote his forwards on tackles 3 and 4 and we were flat in attack. There was hardly any backline movement so its unsuprising.

Buderus would've given Australia more zip around the ruck.
The Kiwi's would've been carved up more and everything else would've flowed more.

For mine Gallen or Slater.
Both had a big impact on the game.

I hope Tupou has got more than he showed last night!

Frenzy.

Agree Angry. SBW was easily Best on park.

Gall was the busiest Aussie, if not the best, but I reckon Billy the Kid was unlucky not to get the gong

yeh sbw was everywhere. Gaz had a pretty good game too in defence and attack. Gallen was aggressive in defence but that's about it. Cam Smith made a ton of tackles and was the primary kicker for clearing kicks.

woulda prolly gone sbw or gaz tho.

Anyone know the last time someone from the losing team won the man of the match?

lol I was checking the stats for this game and don't really know how the Kiwis lost.

Made more metres 1586 - 1232
Less tackles 311 - 360
More line breaks 6 - 4
More offloads 14 - 8
More penalties 10 - 5
Less missed tackles 38 - 46

Errors were almost even 11 - 10.

doesnt sound right... they had no ball in the first half so how they made 250 more metres is odd
