Manly were more interested in big hits than the game. At least they showed passion rather than some other teams this round who gave up. Archer was a deadset joke. It is without question the better team won...if only Kane Cleal stayed onside the game had the chance to turn into a classic. Unfortunately it turned into a farce at the end with Manly having to defend 50 sets to Parras 30.

what a great game! too bad manly forgot to turn up. ill agree that archer was dispicable today just as he is every other weekend but its not his fault that manly dont know when to shut up and play footy instead of trying to put hits on and niggle the other team. hoppas hit on tsoulos was a spectacle and a half :shock: what a beauty. very spiteful game. thoroughly entertaining if youre a parra fan. what a game.

We had more than Watmough Out though. But getting drawn on the injuries argument is making excuses. Suffice to say we could have done with our key players today.

Luelui (speeling?..maybe i wrong) was number 10.......anyway that tackle was nothing barely a reportable offcence. a week off will do him i reckon.

That tackle by Leuluai was not that bad. It hit Vella on the collarbone and then slid up, there was certainly no intentional malicious intent. None of the commentators on channel 9 thought it was that bad.

:roll: he came charging in fully intent on laying vella out! he hit him right on the chin and neck and didnt back off even after he knew hed done the wrong thing. i dont know what his record is but he should get more than 1 week! howw he stayed on the field is beyond me! after he hit him around the neck he continued on with the tackle! that is surely a sin bin offense at least! :roll: sato :roll:langers :roll:

bias my foot! the hit was malicious to say the least. he was intent on hitting vella high and he came charging in at a thouand miles an hour! the giveaway that it was malicious and that there was intent is that he didnt even attempt to back off after hed hit vella high. #-o

I'm glad the boys turned up to play...just wish it was the football they put more of their efforts into. Manly had several chances to get back into the game but just simply choked. I think Parra can also certainly play better. I wouldn't be getting too confident just yet.

Just because you charge in hard doesn't mean you are going for someones head. Leuluai charges every week and is without doubt one of the biggest hitters in the game. He doesn't need to go for the head to put a cat like Vella out of the game.
