Manly sign young Bulldogs talent

Manly have signed Daniel Harrison, one of the most talented players the Bulldogs have got in the lower grades.

Daniel was named in the inaugural NYC team of the year and was the Bulldogs captain that year. He has played NSW Cup the last couple of years but has had some major injuries and his time at the club has been restricted. With so many in front of him he had no chance to make the NRL and now he's going where he'll get a good opportunity.

You have a top talent on your hands in Harro. He is a great player and will turn into a brilliant first grader IMO. Best of luck to him and you guys.

I remember people spewing about him leaving, haven't seen or taken notice of him since. About the same size as Buhrer I think?

The brother of my girlfriends brothers girlfriend - For real I swear.

Originally from the Coast, but played junior rep footy for Manly I believe.

A decent ball playing backrower, who should slot in nicely with Stewart and Choc.

Whos spot is he going to be taking exactly? we already have a superb backrow + good reserves

Back row isn't that great. Rodney, Stewart, Watmough is fine but after that there isn't much.

Maybe not directly "taking" a spot per se, but any ballplaying backrower would be welcome in our current lineup.

I'll be the first to applaud Rodney on his efforts since signing for us, but he lacks the vision to be a truly dominant and dangerous #12/11.

Rodney is like Willow 2.0, and I was the biggest Willow fan around.

Pffft Willow was just safe, nothing more nothing less. Rodney actually makes meters and scores tries.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that this rookie will not play NRL next year UNLESS we have a massive injury crisis. Rodney is a solid player and i wouldn't bench him because this one kid is a "ball player"... we all saw what happened to cuthbo.

If Hodkinson's form doesn't improve soon, Des might have no choice but to bring in Daly. He has already played with Foran, so he knows his game well.

I think if Hodkinson loses form or gets injured, the most likely scenario is for Lyons to go 6 and either Whare or Hopoate to come up to NRL.

But you would think he would atleast give him some gametime, in order to get a feel the NRL.
