manly have a ten fold better back linne than the sharks

plus your forward pack are hardly 80 minute players, we will run all over you with superior fitness and skill

Ten fold better backline! Now I thought the Iraqi Information Minister was prone to exaggeration.

Mc Goldrick better tackle or we could be vunerable! And Randal is a good player. The real danger is Walker, he is unpredictable. Manly forwards are not that slow either , Hicks is good, and Whatmough was good last season . Sure they might be slow but if they dont drop the ball should give us a game.Peach is not playing his best and our half 5/8 combo is still not good. I dont think Franze is 100% either but Simmonds is a good choice ( I would have prefured Pelo) . Our forward pack will win it for us tho , good go forward last week with an excellent rotation by Raper. Dont drop the ball Peach and keep ur mouth shut when near the ref! We should win by 12.

well nutley and bailey could go 80 but with a bench why would you want to. As for the manly backline I rate Walker, donald and to a lesser extent Torrens, and the cronulla I rate peachey, franze and rieck to a lesser extent (I havent seen simmonds play), so I'd say it looks pretty tight. I could see the forward packs canceling each other out, so I'm sorry manly fans that just leaves a rejuvenated Kimmorley.

Fair call Torrens abd Stephenson aren't amazing, but they can meet any players defensively, and its not like McGoldrick and Franze(injured especially) are going to run riot on them. Walker has been playing very well, and Donald is only going to get better with more and more confidence. Hicks has been a standout so far this year, he was one fo the best players against the Roosters from either side, and says a bit. Not to mention the fact that he has played City Origin, and was rejected from Penrith due to a few things that went down with a certain coach, and son. Jye Mullane, sure he didn't make firsts at the Sharks, but until this year I hadn't ever seen him play. From watching him in the first few rounds he has been an awsome player, he has run our backline when he has actually got the ball and has set up several tries, along with proving to have a great kicking game. I'm not saying we will definately beat you because I know how much of a class act Kimmorley is, but I hate to say if we can shut him down our backs will run riot. We just need ball, and a starved Kimmorley is just a turnstile. Monaghan hasn't led the team this year, and he needs to step up. Harris, Menzies, Williamson, Heckenburg and Randell are all 70 to 80 minute players, but with guys like Hoppa, Dunley and Leuluai on the bench we have that added spark in the pack. On the Kane Cleal front, I'm guessing he'll be the guy to go back down to Premier League, but then again he will debut at some stage this year, because he has rep footy written all over him.

I think it will be a close game for the first 50 odd minutes, but i can just see us having to much class. Manlys backline isnt to bad, i just think the Sharks is better..

Players to watch from Manly are

Walker-showing glimpses of Magic, totally unpredictable

Hicks-Been in great form

Mullane-Has been a revelation, with some brilliant little touches, needs to get more involved

Harris-The standout player, from our opening two games, has been great in attack and defense

Dunley-provides alot of spark off the bench

Heckenberg-Tireless worker who makes plenty of yards
