By the way, @ the Manly "Noone likes us, we don't care" attitude... Most Manly fans care more than you could imagine

Most teams fan will defend their team when bagged out on here. Nothing different with Manly.

Perhaps it might be an idea for the club's supporters to drop that mantra then :p

Why?

I don't really care if people hate Manly, but I will defend the club. The two aren't mutually inclusive of one another.

While Hasler and co. should've just sucked it up knowing full well what lay ahead of them I do believe Manly fan's have a right not to feel too intimidated by the result because at the end of the day it wasn't a contest to see who the better side was rather who had the most depth and I believe the Dragons won by a land slide.

Now I believe Dragons fans have a right to be jubilent but to use the result as a form of superiority over the Sea Eagles is very amusing.

It was a good win, the defense was there and set the tone even without 5/6 of the starting forwards for St George. I do not think anyone from St George is reading too much into the result.

The only thing I am reading into the result, is that, this is no longer a fair weather team of yester years, when the Dragons looks for things to blame for their losses. They are now coached differently, Wayne Bennett had installed a toughness in this team that had not been around since the days of Brian Smith. This team will no longered be out-coached, or out-prepared by other teams. If the other team is to beat us, they will have to out-play us during the day

Mate we are not using the result as a form of superiority over Manly at all! No Dragons fan has not acknowledged that Manly had plenty of good players out, it's dickhead Manly fans in here not acknowledging that saints had even more players out simple as that. They are f**king whingers!

Not not whinging about losing players, we were clearly outdone by a better team on the day

The only thing i've stated is that Sundays game will have little bearing come finals time as both sides were nowhere near what we will see when it matters, now i think most people can agree with that.
And thats not a whinge, i'd be saying the same if Manly had won by 50

manly are a bunch of whingers... get over the origin talk. you were lucky last year when you only had 1 or 2 players and went on to win the comp....
this year you paid the price for it...

testing your depth (or lack of)

Exactly. You can't take the 7 of the best players from each team and expect the result to show any real indication of how they'll fare later in the competition.

Most of us are just dissapointed that a dead rubber origin game, has ruined a potentialy great game.

"they were thrashed by 48-18) because they were missing players, against a team who were missing as many players"

Manly were missing 8 out of there top 17, whilst the dragons were missing 6
Players with the Manly players having twice the playing experience as the Dragons.
The game would of been much closer with both teams at full strength, but well done to the dragons. Looking good this year.

"They did not complain that they received 2 bye during the SOO and beat other teams without their best player".

I think they beat the Raiders in the round before origin 2. (oh, with the raiders being at full strength) Whilst manly were depleted.
