Manly v Sharks

Can we win?

I think we have every chance of winning this game. Sharks played really well after a long break and have some quality players in Kimmorley, Vagana, Peachey etc.

I think we can out muscle them in the forwards and put a lot of pressure on Kimmorley and Dykes as they will have little room to create chances. Dykes especially doesn't like playing behind a poor forward pack (e.g. Eels 2004). This will be the key to the match! On paper Manly have a much better forward pack, but the Sharkies have us in the halves and just in the backs.

If Manly has REAL goals of making the top 8, these are the must win games. We have everything go for us. Big home crowd, great forward pack, confidence after a win......i hope the boys are switched on for the game and come away with the spoils.

It'll will be interesting to see the odds for this game......IMO it will be Sharks $1.70, Sea Eagles $2.05. Hopefully we can take SportsTAB to the cleaners again this week

LET'S GO MANLY LET'S GO *CLAP CLAP*

If Sharks can out muscle the Penrith forwards, its gonna be tougher to out muscle us with the Eagles ones then you think.

i don't think the panthers muscled up on the weekend, they seemed to be a bit slow and a bit too big. On paper (and previous years) they would have a better forward pack then Cronulla. Same applies imo for manly v sharks.

Manly's forwards are very mobile and are quite big to boot. So if tehy muscle up, they should gain the upper hand.

Well Kimmorley will be out and so will Nutley thanks to the judiciary, Tezza will be able to play if taking the early plea.

Kimmorely just did that high shot so he wouldn't have to face the Brookie crowd  no matter who fronts up for the Sharks...Brookie isn't their bogey ground anymore and our lads need to be fired up and play sensible footy!

Kimmorley and Nutley being out will favour us in a great way. Hutch Maivia will have to carry the team as IMO Galloway isn't up to the challenge of stepping up. It looks like Tezza will escape a little holiday, can't wait to see the sportstab odds..

Kimmorly and tezza got the same charge, kimmorly just had carry over points, tezza didnt.

I think this should be a confortable win for us - we should run away big time. We have 2 players we need to shutdown - Hutch and Dykes. not that hard with only 2.

Brave Brave man...I would like to think it would be comfortable, but after last years effort which we should have won, I think it will be a close affair...although being first home game, you would have to favour the Sea Eagles...I would say less than 10 points in it, either way.

I doubt hoppa would be able to catch him.
If Hoppa can't get him the other old man Tezza will ;-) Like I said before, I don't care how many Sharks are out injured or suspended, they are always dangerous!

If you guys can improve your handling it will be a great match-up.
Hoppa and Tezza were great against us...
Not nearly as shabby in defence as I expected.
Mind you our attack was a bit..... hmmm.
I doubt you'll have the advantage of two almost three 40/20s against a side with wingers who actually think!

I sure will be! Even if Gimmemorely was playing I'd still boo the heck out of Bailey.
