Next Friday Night.

Joey returns after a break and will want to impress.
BK rteturns after a break and will want to impress.
Manly have no injuries, and will be at full strength.
Manly beat you last time we played you, but I think Newcastle fans think it was a gimmy that they would have scored from the scrum if Matai's assumed forward knock on was a knock on. Very interesting assumption.
Manly pushed Melbourne in Melbourne all the way. We have beaten The Bulldogs the previous week.
Teams coming off the bye haven't played too well.

Should be a very interesting match up.

Good luck next week guys n gals. Should be a tough one. I hope we both get through injury free, and ready to fight on in week 2.

Your an idiot, thats it from me. Go the Knights i'll let them do all the talking.

That's a tad harsh...LoL
But after you said "that's it from me", you went on with more....and after you called someone else an idiot...

Newcastle will be up for this one in a huge way! We will have our forwards for this game.. Mullen will be dangerous off the bench and that huge home crowd will be behind the boys all all the way....

Manly have been impressive though... got over the Dogs and pushed Melbourne all the way so wont be easy by any means. But still two very hard fought matches in a row coming up against a side who is refreshed and has Johns who himself has had a break.

I like our chances here... and if we can get up could possibly have another week off... I mean the Dragons have beaten brisbane twice already this year and Canberra has beaten the Dogs at Telstra as well sooo interesting..

CARN NEWY!!!

Don't forget...

Last home game for Gids, Smith, Carney, Quinn, Lowrie (?) and Hagan. Plenty to play for this Friday night.

And to a lesser extent, I'm pleased that BK gets to play one of his final games at Newcastle.

yeah definatly a knights win. how perfect is it for joey, gets suspended against manly and gets a nice break, a break where the knights acutally won two games in a row, and comes back to face the team that got him suspended. i see joey scoring a try, setting up five more, and a see two of the four props scoring tries.

GO NEWY

I honestly think Manly have improved greatly since our last meeting, even though it was under a month ago. So thank you Newcastle, for turning us into a team that can beat a Newcastle, again (maybe).

Think of it as us lending you guys a hand after the fall from grace you suffered after the '97 Grand Final. What happened? Oh, that's right- between '98 and '04 you only managed to scrape into a single finals series when you finished '98 in 10th place. Can't believe it took you 7 years to get over a single loss:lol:

It's all making this year's finals series a lot sweeter than for the rest. As for that Grand Final loss, you and I both know it had little to do with our rapid decline.

The major concern for Manly is their goal line defence.....

It has let in some pretty simple tries as of late

* Matty Gidley Vs Newcastle
* Josh Perry Vs Newcastle
* Nate Myles Vs Bulldogs
* Andrew Ryan Vs Bulldogs
* Andrew Emelio Vs Bulldogs
* Cameron Smith Vs Storm
* Mick Crocker Vs Storm

Im sure the boys will try and target that aspect of their defence.... Johns may even bag a couple if their defence improved.

I think everyone is underestimating the Knights. Watching the footy show yesterday and the roast not a mention of us as serious contenders, all the talk is the Storm, Dogs, and Broncos. The print media aren't on us either, so I think we are going to fly under the radar and surprise quite a few people this week. I think we'll beat Manly and do it easily. BK is carrying an injury and has been for several weeks, Dunley will get suspended, our guys are fresh and looking for revenge after the last meeting. I think we'll be in everyones calculations after Friday night. Knights by 14+

Listening to the Radio yesterday arvo I heard the Knights twice mentioned as contenders. One was by Paul Langmack and the other by a Penrith player (can't remember his name) who is off to the Gold Coast.
