I am going to go out on a limb with a prediction here that will probably make me very unpopular and will probably be the subject of a lot of understandable derision:

Manly will not make the eight.

After they lose to the tiges this friday (no watmough, kennedy and menzies) they will have an "interesting" run home, as they have some very big home games against saints, the cowboys and the broncos....which i think they will lose. The bulldogs showed yesterday that the manly brookvale myth does not hold up against real quality teams that KNOW how to win!

I think they miss the eight.

the still have bye, that will take them to 24 points, then 1 win should pt them in the 8, 2 to be positive

they'll make it

A win against my boys is no certainty even if their entire back row is out

i think it is.
I will be backing the Tigers! Lock of the weekend. Manly have nothing minus BK and Menzies...plus...Kite SHOULD be suspended for his knee liftvs the dogs.
Manly are in all sorts of trouble for rnd 17

we'll be fine

we should win at least two out of our games against tigers, panthers, dragons, knights, warriors and raiders.. and with the bye that'll do for the 8

i'm not really expecting a top 4 finish now with all the injuires we have.. i'll be very happy with top 6, but top 8 will do nicely considering at the begining of the year i was just hoping we wouldnt get the spoon!

Geez, injury to one key forward and we've gone from top 4 contention to not even making the eight.

Some people are strange.

Its a fair call. After the last 3 weeks, they have every right not to make the eight.

some people have no idea - you doubters are just saying it in the HOPE one of your pathetic teams outside the 8 will make it. your teams should have been playing football 16 rounds ago like manly. then maybe they would be in equal 2ND ON THE LADDER too.

I'd love to play Manly at Shark Park in the first week of the finals and send them crashing out. We don't win at Brookvale and they never win in Wooloware.

they will make the 8, but yes they have a tough run home

i wouldnt right off brookie yet, do so at your own peril.

Note that the broncos havnt won at brookie since 1993.

28-30 points should be enough to make the eight. They've got two of those in the bag with the bye and therefore only need another 2-3 wins to be up there. They are certainly a far different side without Kennedy and Menzies but I think they'll be there, albeit probably in the 5th-8th placings.

After the weekends result I'm a lot more confident about the Warriors second to last round match at Brookie, it could decide whether both teams make the finals.

I think their are 10 teams that can make the finals. The current top 8 and the Bulldogs and Raiders.

I reckon Roosters and Storm will drop out of the 8. Manly are safe IMO.

Canberra will go close if Smith stays on the field. Bulldogs will make it if they get their full side in the coming weeks.

DID NAY OF YOU WATCH THE GAME YESTERDAY???
Anybody with half a football clue could see that both sides played very well, if you are writting off manly based on getting beaten in the last 10 mins then you are very foolish, we were beaten on the day by a side that were on fire, not taking anything away from the bulldogs but if we had of got a couple of the 50/50 stripping calls go our way instead of thiers early in the second half would have bben to far infront any way after 70mins we were down by 4 we will win more at home don't you wory about that!!!!

I wouldn't rule the Warriors out yet, we're only two points off the pace, at close to full strength (only missing Price) and starting to fire. If we can gain one win on the teams immediately above us then our for and against will come into play which will help us as it's superior to most of the teams around us.
