Mann scores 10 tries in half-a-season and we have Herbert and Lomax and Gillard and Johns so I would pass.
I want to see Matherson Johns given a run at on the wing. I think he may go alright there.Mann scores 10 tries in half-a-season and we have Herbert and Lomax and Gillard and Johns so I would pass.
This 400k is not correct.
Gould was asked what he thought Mansour was worth and the jurno said about 400K.
Gould then said that wouldn't get you to 1st base with Mansour.
He is asking for more than that looking for a payrise.
The question is, how much should we pay for a decent winger, such as Mansour? I thought 400K sounded quite reasonable, but I don't think we should be spending much more that that on wingers.FMD! Mansour is an Australian representative winger and some on here would prefer an untried / unproven developing junior who is not even standing out in the lower grades....It could be years before they are as good as Mansour, if ever
The only question to ask is will he improve the squad and the chances of getting to and winning a grand final.
Then we can look at cap space, asking price (value), length of contract (age) etc...
Every time someone is available we should see it as an opportunity to strengthen the Dragons and deny the competitors of talent.
If the juniors a good enough they will compete and come through.
With regular success and a good roster maybe we could become a club that players will want to play for for less.
Yes, I don't see Matt Head as a coach preparing his players for first grade. We need to improve our system so that all of our reserve grade players are heavily monitored and held to account for their fitness, improvement and general skills.I would hope that we give Lomax and company some time on the bench and some game time.
I think since JD left we lost a good coach who got the best out of the players. You can bet that if players from the reserves do not see a progression to first grade, some other team will.
