A lot of talk about Tomkins this week when we should be celebrating one of our best!

Is it 200 NRL games? Or 200 games including pre-season, etc?

I'm dreading the day he hangs up his boots. I hope he has a ripper on Saturday, there's never been another player like him.

200 NRL. will miss this game,, hope they have Skysport up north...

You're spoilt in NZ with your Warriors coverage, missing the odd game might do you some good, teach you how those less fortunate live!

As for Manu, I hope no one would begrudge him a couple of years 'seeing the world' in Superleague at the end of his career, he's already paid his dues here years ago.

True, but we all dream of him being a one-club, 300 game legend. Imagine his try tally if he does that.

Pretty sure it will be NRL games no preseason.

He will be a ledgend of the club up there with Stacey Jones and hopefully if he keeps scoring tries will have the point scoring record (674) current 8 points off going into outright second.

34 more tries needed to go top spot.

So that'd be a point scoring record without goalkicking! What.A.Man.

Apart from having absolutely no coverage (no TV, radio, internet, phone) the worst 'coverage' I've ever had was just receiving three text messages from my mum, who was watching live in NZ.

It was about 1999 and they were roughly (always in upper caps and with typos - her first cellphone):

1. STACEY!!!!!!!! BRILLIANT,,,,
2. THEY CANT HOLD ON TO THE BALL WHY DO THRY ALWAY DROP IT..?? BLOODY GOOTINBEEL AGAIN.
and finally putting me out of my misery with,
3. THATS IT,,,IM NEVER WATCHINH THEM AGAIN!! THEY ALWAYS THROW IT AWAYY.

It was a nightmare.

Bloody useless mug. He's a liability out wide. Make him a prop immediately.

Watch the prop have an absolute barnstormer out wide tomorrow! He'll show the likes of Woods and Taupau what they're missing.

I have a feeling this game will get the side more fired up than the 20th anniversary game. He'd be a pretty popular team mate.

Unfortunately, even if he does get the tries, Johnson will likely already have the record by that stage.

Firstly, congratulations to in my opinion our greatest ever Warrior. A committed, passionate, hard-working guy who has come back from injuries, the 07 match that would've killed off others, and worked his arse off to become one of the most consistently performing wingers in the comp - not that anyone across the Tasman would acknowledge it. He is the true epitome of what it should mean to be a Warrior.

Secondly, this should be well timed for some of the bludging younger guys (one in particular of the same heritage as Manu) to pull their finger out of their arse and contribute. Coz you know, being paid shitloads and having the honour of playing for the Warriors clearly isn't enough.

If they can't fire up and beat a fringe eight/non-eight side at home in the great man's 200th, I just think I'll go watch the ANZ Championship or something else that gives me less agony.

And it's amazing how certain commentators still bring up the Parramatta match like it happened the other day. It was 8 years ago ffs.

And it's not like that game ended our season or anything, we went on to have a home semi (v Parra) which we should have won! Even more so if an in-form Manu (and J-Ro) weren't injured in the last round match v Penrith.

Seriously, this match tonight defines our start to the season. It'll ever be 'not bad' or 'typical' after tonight

The Warriors facebook page ran a video of his team-mates doing Manu impersonations today...it took all my will to not post 'what are the odds of these clowns impersonating him on the training paddock and on the ground instead'.

I honestly do think they'll get up for it and win well today. But by no means should anyone talk about it being a turning of the corner or a shot across the board for the rest of the competition.
