Manuokafoa is to join the Parramatta Eels, with a deal expected to be finalised in the coming days.
The two Tongan internationals came to the Cowboys in 2009 with a great opportunity, but both failed to meet expectations.
Henry said he hopes things work out for the pair as they look to further their careers elsewhere.
''Both Manase Manuokafoa and Antonio Kaufusi have sought and been granted a release from their contracts at the club and on behalf of the club we wish them all the best at their new clubs and for them and their families for the rest of the season,'' Henry said.

might be a interesting buy. depending on the money spent.

I hope as a forward he can play half and has a good 5th tackle option with a sound kicking game

I would approach the dogs and offer to take Kimmorley off their hands for the rest of the season.... or even better. organise a swap between Morts and Kimmorley.
we would then have a great chance to win a few games.

I am really excited about this buy, i liked this guy when i first watched him play with souths, he gets a bit of aggression in him and could be a really good cheap buy.

as mentioned before and for the benefit for idiots like Haynetrain, the guy was signed to cover for the potential loss of Mannah to Origin and other potential injuries as the coaching staff probably feel that he has more to offer than the blokes already here..

I really think this guy will be a big hit with us.We need some more size in the pack and he is mobile as well not a big slug.I am looking at this as a real positive.

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels have signed Manase Manuokafoa for the rest of the 2010 season and the 2011 season.
The former South Sydney Rabbitoh joined the Eels from the North Queensland Cowboys and will bolster the club's forwards. Manuokafoa joined the club today at training and will be a versatile addition to the forwards with his ability to play prop or second row. The 25-year-old has played 87 first grade games in his career so far and Parramatta Eels CEO Paul Osborne is looking forward to the experience he will add to the club's forwards. “We're pleased Manase has decided to join the Eels, he'll give us another option in the forwards,” Osborne said. “He's a Tongan international and is already an experienced first-grader so he will be a welcome addition as we start the run home to the finals.”

looks like it's official

He's no world beater but I think this is a good thing. We lack depth in the backrow and having a bloke with 80 odd games in first grade is better than a Brendan Oake. He was actually a pretty good player when he was at Souths... but like most players who go up to Townsville end up looking like hacks.

couldn't really have said this any better than what was put here, especially in bold, this could be a good buy for depth......i actually was hoping the Eels would have gone after him when he was switching to the Cowboys, he was v good at Souths.....
