Carlos Spencer has been confirmed for his New Zealand farewell with inclusion in a powerful Maori squad of 22 to play the British and Irish Lions at Hamilton next Saturday.
Spencer didn't play in the 29-27 win by the Maori over Fiji in Suva on Friday because of his appearance in Sunday's testimonial match for Martin Johnson in London.
He will fly back immediately after that game to front the Lions.
Maori coach Matt Te Pou has named a significantly stronger Maori side than the young team that snuck past the Fijians.
Bay of Plenty captain Wayne Ormond has been included. He will be having his second game against the tourists after playing them in the tour opener in Rotorua.
Also making a return are Sean Hohneck who did not travel to Fiji because of injury, and Crusaders players Corey Flynn, Rico Gear, Caleb Ralph and Leon MacDonald who were all rested for the game in Suva.
The squad includes 12 players who have turned out for the All Blacks, making it one of the strongest Maori sides in recent history.
New Zealand Maori squad: Daniel Braid (Auckland), Neil Brew (Otago), Greg Feek (Canterbury), Ross Filipo (Wellington), Corey Flynn (Canterbury), Rico Gear (Nelson Bays), Jono Gibbes (captain, Waikato), Carl Hayman (Otago), David Hill (Waikato), Marty Holah (Waikato), Sean Hohneck (Waikato), Scott Linklater (Waikato), Deacon Manu (Waikato), Angus MacDonald (Auckland), Leon MacDonald (Canterbury), Luke McAlister (North Harbour), Craig McGrath (North Harbour), Wayne Ormond (Bay of Plenty), Caleb Ralph (Canterbury), Carlos Spencer (Auckland), Rua Tipoki (North Harbour), Piri Weepu (Wellington).
