Is this prick not the dirtiest player in world football or what.
How he was never shown a red card during the tournament I'll never know. During the tournament he committed atleast 5 fouls that were worse than the one Cahill got a straight red for yet somehow managed to stay on the field every time. I'm glad this scumbag will never win a world cup because it'd be a true crime against football if he did

Dirtiest player in the world? No.

Tough and pushes the limits? Yes.

MVB is a winner. Multiple league titles in 3 leagues including spain, numerous cups and played in two champions league finals, winning one.

pretty impressive CV.

He isn't the only dutch player who got away with murder this tournament. Even Johan Cruyff was ashamed of them.

Quality player? Yes.

Utter merkin? Yes.

But, what decent players aren't merkins in one way or another?

As rough as he was, even he couldn't match the epicness of De Jong's challenge on Alonso. Studs in the chest ftw

tough, like the tackle from behind on Iniesta that should have been a straight red? Like the lunge against Uraguay? Like the multiple horror challenges against Brazil? The guy is dirty, that tackle from behind on Iniesta was 10 times worse than Tim Cahill's, there was never any intention to win the ball.

It was funny by the end. He could of knee capped someone out there and the ref would give him a final warning. The fouls he commited were deliberate. He should of walked in almost every game.

De Jong i think he went for the ball and Alonso got there first. It looks bad on slow mo but at full speed it happened very quick. Same with Sneidjer on Puyol (i think).

De Jong was still lucky to stay on though.

if anyone remembers the brasil game well enough, he should have had about 8 yellows! how he got away with them all i'll never know.

and was he also the one that had a shot at goal in the final when he was meant to be giving the ball back to spain?

Van Bommell is a massive dirtbag. With him in the Dutch team, I couldn't support them.

What about vs Brazil (I think) when he got the slightest flick on the leg, wouldn't have hurt a grandmother, and he went down like a sack of sh*t.

Also see this video for evidence of Van Bommell's dirtbagness (and strangeness).
