You're actually right OVP. Viduka played up front for the Socceroos but it wasn't actually as a striker. Unless the ball happened to fall at his feet in front of goal, his job was to hold up the ball for his midfield (who can all score).

Thank you ... i went over the top in his praise, but you said it perfectly. I feel that his role would have been better served just purely going for goal. But hey, im not the coach

Guys he still had a couple of opportunities to score goals.

Please don't hide from that

Opportunities that better stirkers would of tucked away.

And yet NONE shone in the World Cup ... maybe apart from Klose.
