Here's a what if for ya.

Hypothetically..

If the shoulder (god help us if it does) does indeed go again.

Do we wash our hands with him or what ?

I hate to put another downer on the place, but It's something ive pondered since the Knights game.

either way the dogs'll pick him up
SBW and Benchi will win everygame they play together, which will be a 3 game winning streak in the middle of the season.

I think if the shoulder goes again he'd be near retirement - it simply has to start weighing on his mind. But he pays his salary with endorsements and bums on seats. I'd keep him because at his best he is not just a match winner he is a comp winner. A once in a generation player. But you could also see the logic ... his 400k could be better spent on 5 average back rowers

How can you say he's worth his money. Your the one always on about results. Since his packet went from 80K to 400K he hasnt played a decent game. Here's a clue, since 2005 he has accumulated a grand total of 3, yes THREE Dally M points, and this from the bloke who is taking up 1/8th of our cap. So next time you whinge and whine about another player remember we have those 'mongs' in your words because Marshall takes the rest of the cap up.

A once in a generation player, what rot, he has played 1/2 a decent season. He is a great touch football player who was lucky enough to have Prince next to him. He also played in a year when refs allowed lightning play the balls to suit his touch style. You continue to prove to me you know NOTHING about the game.

Marshall is loyal so he'll stay at the Tigers for much less than his current contract to make up for the missed games. Sonny did with the Bulldogs and so will Marshall. By the way Sonny only copped a late season injury so you could assume if SBW can go through a season unscathed, Benji can as well when he matures a bit.

Will believe the loyalty claim when i see it, hasnt been really put to the test yet.

WTF has SBW got to do with any fkn thing?>

People have the notion Benji owes us something because he has spent so much time on the side lines. Benji owes us nothing, the rehab work he has been through is tougher than any game and a lot of players would have pulled the pin years ago.

Benji like all footballers has a very limitted playing life, so he will take the best deal he can get and even with his history their will be no shortage of offers. As for Benji being over rated ,not on your life put him behind a good pack and he will kill em

Benji will fire again, this time with Farah at his best, In 2005 Farah was still becoming a great player...now in 2008 Farah will be the best Hooker in the game and Benji and Hodgson will be there around him.....

If we could only give them some sizeable forwards we would be a force in the NRL

There's no way the Bulldogs will pick him up over our products who we recruit - Ben Barba, Aarom Groom... no thanks, you guys can keep Benji Marshall... although we'll trade Jamie Clark for Robbie Farah ;)

I used another young star player with injury problems as an example that better things may come.

Maybe my side will make a run at Benji? I'm sure he'd feel safer on the paddock defending next to Kidwell, Sutton or Fa'alogo.

Re-sign him boys.. he is a proven match winner and when he has the ball everyone is watching.
