That's a shame for the big bloke. Not the flashiest front-rower, but damned near one of the most consistent and fearless.

110 games for us, and usually gave 110%.

Sad news. Bangers always gave his all for us, it's not really a surprise that injury is forcing him out.

phil gould always claimed martin lang was to blame for thugs always attacking his head

seems his legal running style somehow invited illegal tackles

the ol' blame the victim trick

he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, phil gould

ah that try against "the dogs" in the final was my best memory of him.

I was sitting in front of some super intelligent bulldog supporters thet game. They thought it particularly humerous to call Langy a "crash test dummy" - it was a sweet moment when our crash test dummy strolled overand scored under the posts. Unfortunately it didn't shut the imbeciles up - just made them want to pick fights with any sharks supporter in the vicinity.

Why does that not suprise me when you talk about dog supporters like that?
They lose, they start a riot
They win, they start a riot
The controversy thats around at the moment would be a good excuse to kick 'em out for good and bring in Central AND Gold Coast ;-)

The only thing that surprises me is that it's his ankle that's finished him rather than his head, considering the number of times he got whacked and just got up and carried on.

Best of luck to him for this season (apart from games against us!) and for life after footy.
