Nearly choked on my wheet Bix this morning reading below. If you weren't following the club that sounds great but what a load of Bullshit it is. I bet Sele, Lawrie & Host give Graham some deathly looks at training ! I also note that Matty Johns has selected Mary as the best coach so far due to his handling of the side and involvement in recruiting it. They call this click bait don't they ?

Graham backed the Dragons, who sit just ahead of Penrith on the ladder at the halfway point of the season, to tap into their healthy forward depth.

"You only have to look at the guys who have come in and played off the bench for us, and are playing out of their skin in reserve grade," Graham said.

"I've witnessed that first hand at training with how hard they run and tackle.

"They've been banging down the coach's door for quite a while now.

"We've been in a strong position with injuries and suspensions and haven't been too affected, but that hasn't affect their desire to play in the first team.

"I can't forecast what will happen, but I know there are some guys there that are ready.''

Can't believe what a lot of rubbish that quote fr

Well we'll soon find out when Graham,Ah Mau & Widdop are out against Parra.
Lucky L plate has been giving Lawrie,Sele, Host & Luc plenty of minutes off the bench to prepare them for it.
I'll guarantee Allgood is picked ahead of the others due to his "experience" lol.

My goodness me - James Graham actually said that ? The man must stop pouring Horlicks over his corn flakes each morning - there is no doubting that there are side effects after consuming such a potent combination .

Graham is from the north of England, there’s a reason there’s no Mensa branch in the north of England.

Just also looked this up, Graham has played in a record six losing Grand Finals in a row, the bloke is dead set bad luck.

No quite sure why everyone is so upset.

He says that there are some really good players in ISP who are ready to play first grade but havent had a chance yet because the first team has been healthy and no suspensions.

Spot on.

The ISP guys aren’t dopes. Anyone with half a brain would know that if a team has been running 1st all year, then the reserves will find it hard to get a go.

Some people think this will cause the younger guys to pout and become disillusioned due to lack of opportunities. Well guess what, we’re equal 1st in ISP as well so that theory is out the door.

These guys will get a chance in the coming weeks and we will all see just how well they have been brought along.

Exactly, you dont see ths Storm or the Bunnies making too many changes to their forwards.
As you said, a team at the tip end of the table is unlikely to inject players when they squad is already healthy and suspension free.
I mean seriously, some were so critical at the suggestion of resting our SOO of origin players and we should always play our #1 players at all times if fit.
Of course our ISP guys are raring to go they know whats coming both with chances to play 1st grade or even attract attention of another club.
Yes McGregor should be using the bench better but thats been coveted in a trillion threads already.
In any case talk about making mountains out of molehills.

I think it is the mantra that these players have been given a go when the reality is selected but given no or very very little game time , and now to add to it by using a lightweight winger in place of these players who are "banging down the door "

I am amongst the biggest Mary critics on here. The guy makes me sick with his shameless self-promotion, gutless blame-shifting and the overall undeserved smugness that drips from every word he says, matched only by the sheer incompetence he displays year after year while his mates on the board shield him from criticism, dismiss his fall-guys and spoon feed him contract extensions for mediocre achievements. I long for the day he is removed from his current position and wish the last 4 years under his watch were wiped from our history books.

But I genuinely dont see what's wrong with the statements from Graham. It's true, we have an abundance of good young forwards bashing down the door. They are putting in the hard yards and want to play firsts. We've been in good position with no injuries or suspensions. They are ready. What has he said that's wrong? He hasnt endorsed the deplorable lack of pathways for these guys or said that their token minutes at the death of a game is good management. What's the issue?

I was waiting for the ‘but’ - just took a while to get there!

Exactly right, he has stated a fact. Actually I guarantee he knows what’s happening at training better than any of us- so who are we to pick it apart and say it’s a load of rubbish?

I don’t understand when people be negative for the sake of being negative.

Make Graham assistant coach next year or the year after.

Creates a pathway for the young forwards that Graham feels are ready and gives us a forwards coach who is very knowledgeable and inspirational.

Smart guy, probably too smart to work under Mary.

I could have gone on a lot longer before getting to the ‘but’!

Luckily jinxes can be broken.
Dragon's / Canberra
Dragon's/ Storm
Dragon's / Grubs

Jimmy won't bring the jinx with him. That's why the grubs are shit, he left it there!
