In recent years the Dogs have lost some talented front rowers, but they seem to replace one with another. The loss of Big Willie will result in a positive for the club : The Dogs will now be able to spend more money in areas which require urgent attention.

Who will be the Dogs new front row in 08....???

Won't be long and they will be playing international football!!!!!
Most forwards would love the opportunity to play in front of Ryan, SBW and Maitua....Dogs top 4 finish!

dogs no better than 13th, will take a bit to rebuild your forwards, and your 1/2's need attention.

This year fringe top 8... Don't worry though we'll still support the club whether we're lost and willie less :p.

Bulldogs in a couple of years will have a gun young side... The talent we've got in Mathews/SG Ball and Flegg is unbelievable.

Bottom 8 for the next 5 years

Showing your age there mate.

Bottom 8 because of one player? We won less than 40% of games with him this season.

Dogs are going to have a hard time next year. They have very average halves. An ok backline at full strength, but nowhere near the speed that other teams have, and their forward pack is severely depleted.

I won't rule them out of the top 8 just yet. But if they do make it, they won't have anywhere near a team capable of threatening IMO.

all Mason leaving means to me is that SBW will have more affect on the games, just as the case was this year. SBW didn't go missing when Mason played, he just seemed to be quieter. The 3 biggest games SBW played (Warriors, Roosters, Raiders), Mason didn't play a part in any of them. SBW will just get more ball without Mason so its not THAT big of a loss. Mind you, it would be nice to replace Mason with a classy back like Folau or Inu.

Who cares really?

If I was a Bulldogs fan i'd be cheering.

A knobhead like Mason brings bad images to your club.

Not only that...he is an absolute merkin to boot.

Who cares about this 15 minute footballer leaving...go to England where you wont be so over-rated small willie.

Absolute pea-hearted toss.

He has a mouth, but years gone by(not so much this year though) he has torn my team a new one countless times so it would be nice to have a player of his potential amongst the ranks, if he could keep his trap shut, I wouldn't be negative in having him up here.................. we would have a pretty good forward pack with him in it, but the chances of him coming up here are pretty slim IMO, even though I keep seeing us mentioned in a few outlets as having an interest, i don't know how we could offer him anything decent and be under the cap.

Agree with you

there are some posters at Mse that wanted him at Brookie, personally I am glad Mayer has said No in todays paper, we have had our share of bad boys so we don't need a self interested tosser

Nah, don't want him. Our club is built on values that don't include the likes of him. We have enough trouble managing Thursty's ego, Mason would be out of control.
