Good point, we should be on our fourth lolif on field performance is the most important metric then why aren't we arguing for more teams in Melbourne?

Bec and Brett will flourish.Used car dealer would be a step down. These guys sell new cars. Bought my car from them, and no issues with their business whatsoever. Had an annual Revenue of $1.5 Billion in 2017.
No issues with their business acumen. Whether or not they have the acumen to run a successful Football Club is another question, we certainly don't seem to be in as much financial trouble as previously - but still can't quite get the results.
"Darryl Kelly will remain on the Titans board while Brett Frizelle joins as a director, ensuring continuity as the club pursues success both on and off the field".
So it's not like Darryl (and Jo) Kelly are totally abandoning the club. Just a change in ownership structure. Could be a positive, if it's centralises business decisions. Guess we'll see in the next few years.
Bec and Brett will flourish.
Kudos to Darryl; he helped turn a dire financial situation around at the Titans. Hopefully after this he can enjoy retirement.
I get it mate, you’re a little loser with nothing going for you in life. It’s a sad state of affairs that you’re living in. Confined to trying to express your pointless, stupid opinions on an internet forum.

I’m sure someone out there cares for you. Maybe your support helper can take you for a walk in a park or something. Just don’t be licking too many park benches once you get there, you’ve been warned before that they aren’t good for your health.
What you claim or don’t claim is irrelevant. What’s relevant here is that you’re acting like some obsessive little bitch with a chip on their shoulder. Do better mate.I don't claim to be connected or possessing expert knowledge of NRL workings. Not on first name basis with movers and shakers either. I'm merely a fan (although I did predict dolphins getting in and being a success, and the Perth consortium backers not coming through).
Seeing what’s happened to the bears and you wouldn’t support a demerger and joining up with easts tigers ? If it included one game at lo and the traditional jersey and colours returning ?Man reading these grand expansion ideas is like listening to Gordie on 360. The poster thinks they’re onto a great idea but reading/listening just makes your brain bleed.

Interesting listening to Richo last night that Tigers lost $5mill over last two years. Thats some achievement with the size of the NRL grant these days!

I think he had a point about how unstable joint ventures are as Souths and manly have also shown
Interested in the perspective of a wt fan
This back in the nrl would be crazy
Huh ? I'm 43, I can get the pension? The majority of their fans now only know the Wests Tigers …you would need to be 35 at least to remember Balmain …people still fighting the Wests Magpies v Balmain thing are pensioners

It's the worst of both worlds.Seeing what’s happened to the bears and you wouldn’t support a demerger and joining up with easts tigers ? If it included one game at lo and the traditional jersey and colours returning ?

Fair point, though we don’t know if that $5mill loss is before or after a grant from the LC.Canterbury Leagues club ( ie the Pokies Palace you love) put about $6-7m a year into their football club as a “grant “… does that mean the football club is losing money or just wants to spend a lot on pathways, assistant coaches and the like …
The Tigers are actually behind the 8 ball with how little the club is spending on the football department… their “grant” ( what Richo refers to as a “loss”) is about $1.7m in comparison
Yeh it’d be like wa fans are feeling about perth bears but hundred fold lol. It's the worst of both worlds.
Weakens the support for an existing team, and than tries to thrust the Syd history onto a Brisbane team that hates Sydney.
"Hey are you Balmain?"
"No, but sort of yes"
Yeh because the reds 3 years of history compares with a combined 106 years for Balmain and westsYeh it’d be like wa fans are feeling about perth bears but hundred fold lol.
Are we balmain relocated, or easts with a balmain partnership?
Fair point, though we don’t know if that $5mill loss is before or after a grant from the LC.
I’d go Balmain Tigers and relocate the Sharks because I have no idea how they got away with their super league treachery in the first place.Well, the verdict is in and it's time to admit mergers aren't working. While the Tigers and dragons are constantly changing dressing rooms and wearing kit that is neither here nor there, the Rabbitohs have formed a strong identity ,one of the biggest clubs in the league and Manly regularly sell out their home ground .
The clear winners are the clubs that rejected the opportunity or lack of opportunity in teaming up with another club.
So here's the solution:
Illawarra Steelers - South Australia Dragons.
Wests Magpies- Central Coast Tigers.
After the inclusion of hopefully Christchurch will be a 22 team league.
Perth 18
PNG 19
Christchurch 20
De- mergers:
Magpies 21
Steelers 22
We have too many Sydney clubs and the identity around those Sydney clubs are no longer the working class rugby league supporting backbone they once were. The Tigers and Dragons could host the odd traditional rival at the SFS however.
