yeh neither offer much by way of sales opportunities but I wonder even if Cambelltown had the facilities does it have the big business to be selling to? Its why the Tigers use a third modern stadium in Sydney to bring is some corporate revenue.
Povo area

Local shopping strip is ancient

New shopping centres are planned

Local economy is limited

Lo is getting expanded corporate facilities as part of the extension of the old grand stand at the back

Plus new shops for the plebs

Campbelltown looks like it has more corporate facilities than leichardt has

They would be the two worst grounds in the NRL for corporates ….

lol … have you ever been to Western Sydney ?
There are plenty of businesses and opportunities to sell corporates seats…. Penrith manage it ok

when both stadiums are improved. The Tigers won’t play out of the third ground anymore

Thats on the back of one of the most succesful 5 years in NRL history. Everyone loves a winner. Youd have to go back to pre winning streak to get a true picture of Panthers corporate support.

Panthers stadium had awful corporate facilities

Eastern stand is open air boxes and the main stand had hodge podge of closed boxes

When the new ground opens I doubt any corporate will be unsold

There is also the new Western Sydney airport opening next year which will be a game changer for business in the outer west … Penrith will benefit most … but even Liverpool and Campbelltown will get a good bump

Wests weren’t that keen on Campbelltown to begin with

Newtown had the idea first but weren’t allowed

Nswrl kicked wests out then they went to court and won and then moved out there

Crowds were bad too from memory. I wouldn’t count it as magpie area any brand that plays there now could take it
Yeah I was going to say, even the Magpies don't have much of a history at Campbeltown

Well, the verdict is in and it's time to admit mergers aren't working. While the Tigers and dragons are constantly changing dressing rooms and wearing kit that is neither here nor there, the Rabbitohs have formed a strong identity ,one of the biggest clubs in the league and Manly regularly sell out their home ground .
The clear winners are the clubs that rejected the opportunity or lack of opportunity in teaming up with another club.

So here's the solution:
Illawarra Steelers - South Australia Dragons.
Wests Magpies- Central Coast Tigers.

After the inclusion of hopefully Christchurch will be a 22 team league.

Perth 18
PNG 19
Christchurch 20
De- mergers:
Magpies 21
Steelers 22

We have too many Sydney clubs and the identity around those Sydney clubs are no longer the working class rugby league supporting backbone they once were. The Tigers and Dragons could host the odd traditional rival at the SFS however.

Given the might and power of smug there’s a compelling case for Penrith to split into two seperate clubs.

Penrith East and Penrith West.

In an NRL Premier League with my Wests Tigers.
