^^^ Hard to argue there. Iro seemed to get the job almost by default. Ackland and Iro are both "props on the wings" shit that we seem to go to time and time again.. I guess the coach has a large say in who we pursue in terms of NRL players however?

Surely Doyle's as, or more, accountable than Kearney?

This is a hard call,
Doyle for appointing Kearney, not sure what he had on the table, Cleary stated he of come back.
Kearney for not being able to coach "kiwi spine" into top 8.

No SJ is not an excuse in the review as we were not in the top 8 at all when he got injured.

Was at some local footy today and overheard Frank Endacott having a conversation, saying that John Ackland had a terrific eye for talent, and that who they have doing it now has absolutely no idea

Anyone with half a clue about Kiwi league knows that about Ackland. Can't coach but.
