Douehi's injury free periods are what's been inconsistent...his layoffs would derail anybody and he deserves credit for his quick return to effective form. I suspect his leaner build and height lead to a lot of serious injuries as with Tommy T. He's confident and determined...that's a good start on sorting the deficiencies . In any case he's a versatile and skilled utility who will come in very handy come SOO and injury time.
I don’t like being very critical of him away from this wonderful forum as I’m good friends with a number of his relatives plus he’s a really decent kid but I really believe the 3 ACL’s have caused him to severely regress.Ive got Latu & Mason ahead of him in pecking order as utilities.

Agree, I was and still am keen to see him gone, but with Naden down, I'm hoping he steps up. We don't have a huge amount of options.
Nadens injury is a real bummer as I have a feeling he may turn the corner this season especially playing with the fabulous JL.Hope he returns soon & realises his potential this season coz we desperately need a centre or 2 to hold their own.

Nado was never going to play for us again.

Im thinking all the panthera has brought him back into the light.

As paid up club members, woofy and I say:

Lets get this season started yesterday.

Bring the f**ker on.

I’m over everything that’s gone before it.

Do or die you useless rabble, do or die!

AD and To'a are the centres guaranteed.

I think round 1 we will roll out with:

1. Mason
2. Turuva
3. Douieihi
4. Faatape
5. Skelton
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8. May
9. TDS
10. Pole
11. S. Fainu
12. Seyfarth
13. Bird

14. Hunt
15. Twal
16. Si. Fainu
17. L. Fainu

18. To'a

3 starting players out isn't great but I think the boys will come storming out the gates with a point to prove. Will be very interesting to see how Benji uses the bench and Bird at 13.

While I think Faataape could do the job, I won't be surprised if they go with To'a.

Is Bula confirmed as out? I know he was dicey but hadn't heard he's definitely not playing.

Although our team is a marked improvement (by a mile) on last year and I can't wait for next weekend, beware of Newcastle.

I went to the Roosters vs Knights trial and the Knights looked absolutely brillant. They played Fletcher Sharpe at 5/8 and he killed it. I'd say that will be their plan this year. He can also play FB and played wing at the back end of last year. He's a player to watch this year IMO. I wish we had him.

We are desperate for a left centre, we have three blokes who are reasonably competent who all play predominately right, it does make a bit of difference, Douehi was caught out miserably in defence a few times playing left centre last year. It wouldn’t surprise me if Bird spends a bit of time at left centre

Has anyone had a look at ticket prices???? Holy moly, I just had a look tickets in the eastern seated area on half way are $60 each. Absolutely ridiculous for a place where you have to cue for 1/2hr to have a pee, and an hour for a beer. Even $40 is too dear at this joint. I love ctown but they’re pricing themselves out of the game. $35 on the hills and $23 for kids. I was gonna shout my grown up kids and their partners but I’ll be forking out $600+ to get the bums on a seat ridiculous, guess theyll have to park their arses on the grasses.

Yeah, I have adult kids and grand kids. I have already told them it's unlikely I will be taking them to a game at those prices.
