Well it’s the cumulation of what, 15 plus years of intense personal struggle, sacrifices and enormous hard work.

He well understands it’s significance, without us having to brazenly exploit it to look cool.

And if he plays badly, it’s going to be a horror clip, like a Tim Sheens interview.

I can be criticised for being harsh, but it’s the clubs fault I’ve turned brutal. Especially us members, we are all ‘ken pathological at this point.

Good win for Madge tonight, massive statement about his capabilities.
No more than mac by a country mile and look even he’s giving us a chance.. unbelievable …but he’s looking at what we’ve got now at least and in a mature manner
I don’t mind some brief sentimentalism, but ffs only after we’ve earned it.

Instead we get an episode of Benjis (up the) Creek (without a paddle).

Benji, please don’t set yourself up as the man with a lousy 25% success rate.

Prove you can coach before you start on with this nonsense.

I’m happy for the kid, but throwing a jersey at him and telling him he’s playing should be enough for him after all his legend hard work.

If he’s going good, you don’t need to pump up his tyres too much and broadcast it

It’s a very high achievement and the kid needs to own all of it in his own way.
what a load of shit!! You’re scraping the barrel again. I thought you’d gotten past that …at least wait untill the first games played then you can froth at the mouth like a lunatic if you want or, if we win or play well you can shut up like a good little peasant boy
At the very least no blanket coveridge please.. We all would rather just enjoy the possibilities these last few hours before the game hold, which could very easily be where it all comes together

I've got the Knights up 30 to 18. If I'm wrong and we win, I'm happy....If I'm right I'm a bit richer.

I think their backs are far too strong. Forwards cancel each other out for mine.

Kasey Badger to screw us in a bunker call....never fails!!!

Will be interesting how we go, got some good players in the mix.
I just hope we can get rid of the silly penalties and cheap handovers we give away every game.
I think our 1, 3, & 4 defenses will be tested, & probably determine the result.

I can't wait for this one. I have no idea how the game will turn out but we are putting a team on the park that can win. We also have a couple of key players out and hopefully we will improve over the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, I really enjoyed your trial insights and the reasoning and see you’ve been hitting some pretty high notes lately.

At least you’re ready for the season!

I can’t happy clap for Benji until I see something, including your beloved D.

The more conservative assessments rate us us a 40% better side this year.

The Broncos halves really tore it up tonight, good omen for us I Hope!

Big game tonight, I’m pretty excited.

Cover D needs to be right as I know you’re thinking about brother. Busy and mobile.

At least Richo and Benji have been proactive and apart from Bird (who I still think has something to offer) they haven't gone out and got pending retirees, paid them big bucks and they fail to produce.
I'm sure you know those players who have been duds over the past 2 decades.
The reason I suggested buying Hunt a long time ago is I had him in my Fantasy coach side as a cheapie, and he produced for me. I believe he has to get super fit, and if he does, he could be our AFB version. Atm, he's not, and Benji needs to address this.
Benji and Richo appear to be a good fit for each other. Good players now seem to be jumping on board.
If it wasn't for a stacked top 30, I reckon we could have snared others like Spencer Leniu.
Back to D.....have you noticed that all the top teams have excellent edge/lock players. They work really hard in starting the defensive shifts, which makes it easier for the backs to defend.
We were taught to use the goal posts as a hit up target to engage those edge fwds and then shift.
Now that the ref's have come down hard on block plays and decoy runners, successful teams like Penrith run more angle at and around the posts, and then when they shift, they stand deeper and pass quicker. As a result, most of their tries are scored in the corners.

What was the reason for To'a being ommitted?

Agree.
Except for May, Murray Kennedy Real Estate and Z Wealth Group are going to be burnt by fleet footed players from East Coast Building and Pest, Caltex and Taylors Outdoor Power Equipment. ;)

Injury. Same as Bula.
Sorry, probably been said too many times :)

Depth is important for our success this year and I've noticed that the Magpies have just listed their KOE team to play the Knights (should be Wests Tigers playing)
Anyway, inclusions are:
Charlie Staines, Josh Feledy, Alex
Lobb, Latu Fainu, Kit Laulilii, David Klemmer (regardless if leaving), Justin Matamua, and Tim Johannssen.
It's slowing growing but too many holes for me.
It's a juggling act to ensure these players don't kick stones and be ready to produce when called up.

It looks like former WT Jacko Hastings' run at the top looks to be over????

In the outside backs we have To’a, Luke Laulilii & Naden injured plus Olam's career appears to be over. We have Feledy, Saukuru & Staines still available to be picked. I'm not including Makasini as well.

In the halves we have Latu playing reserves.

We have Matamua, Kit Laulilii, Tim Johannssen as back-up middle forwards. Let's assume Klemmer won't stay.

We have Tumeth & Sukkar as back-up edge fowards.

We also have Porter who can play on an edge or in the middle.

For hooker we have Api, TDS and Hope.

When I posted this out I think we actually have a fair bit of depth plus we probably have 3 spots available in one remaining spot plus Klemmer plus Olam.

Maybe it's more about money and player availability because I think the squad looks pretty good. I think our weakest position is edge backrow.

He was great for us for a couple of games but I think at his best he was probably just an average half. Compare our squad now to then.

Yes I agree with your assessment but still there's still too many players who in my opinion will never play NRL unless we are devastated with injuries.
There's a couple on you list who are these players.
I'm more interested in the pathway lads coming through like Makasini and other before him, but we must manage them properly.
I still think Justin Matamua falls into this category of 'what the'
Still the cap can only stretch so far.

I want a football coach not an entertainer WA.

And I have no interest in your personal abuse.

Benji proves he can coach, I’ll start backing him.

25% success rate is the worst in the NRL, by some measure too.

No more mates, no more tearjerkers.
