Very impressed with our defence, not a lot thrown at us but we kept getting there.
Attack was quite bad, hopefully it can gel a bit in the 2nd half. Ponga needs more early ball and runners in motion.

The sharks are going to end up scoring on the right surely. Or can Dugan bomb another 4 tries. He's been our best

While far from perfect, what I take from that half is that we won’t be constantly blown away up the middle like we were in the past. We controlled the game well, we just didn’t have any polish at the end of our sets and our decision making let us down. Overall, good solid football for the start of the season.

Obviously some frustrating elements too. I don’t like the last tackle runs unless they are well set up. Ours looked a little desperate and disorganised. Glasby in attack is a no go zone, the plays does with him.

Better execution from the halves and we can win this one. No surprise if we don’t though.

Not the best but for round 1 with pretty much a new team and spine changes against a side that usually puts 60 on us I'm not too disappointed.

Flow in attack and execution has let us down - we'll be better for the run though.

I'm really happy with that half to be honest. The two big areas we suffered in for years was defence and our forwards in attack. Both were outstanding in the first half and it's great to see those are two areas we might not need to worry about any longer. In attack we're clunky, disjointed and too conservative, but I think with the breeze behind us we can have a stronger 40 in attack.

Gotta say, crowd looks nowhere near as big as round 1 last year
Might have been put off by the rain? Classic rivalry is more appealing against Manly than the Sharks tbh. Will probably end up being a bit less than last year's.
