Its pretty common practice for FBs to kick off for the reason OD mentioned above

Holmes kicks off for cowboys. So overall, that’s less than a handful of teams out of 17.

I’d liken it to coaches putting fullbacks into the line to create an extra defender- good in theory, but of little use if you haven’t got the players to back it up.

Those were the ones off the top of my head mate, pretty sure there would be a lot more

After checking all the games from the weekend champ, Souths, Parra, Newcastle and Roosters appeared to be the only teams using their fullbacks for kickoffs.
Did you just champ me bud?

FYI, you missed Brimson kicking off for the Titans

Warriors playing pretty decent footy agasint rooster gives me a little bit more confidence we weren’t total trash last week
