Mbye doesn't look to have a role apart from bench utility. I'd love to see Tommy kill it in the centres. I worry he lacks some pace but he has looked good on the wing.
Still we will have to carry Mbye's contract for a while like we've had to carry Reynolds contract for a while. No club is going to take the under performing top dollar players that we have for anywhere near what we need to get to release them.
Totally get what you’re saying. I just feel like he is being wasted especially with the money he’s on. Taking high ball is something you can work on but speed isn’t.@League WTF - Mbye offers a lot more than Reynolds. He is a first grade utility player. The problem with Mbye at the back is that he was dropping the high balls consistently. I reckon Mbye's best position if off the bench.
I don't see an easy solution to our cap problem other than just waiting for those contracts to finish.
@League WTF - I agree with you but AD to me plays tough and he has to be in the team somewhere.
Our attack is basically non-existent unless our forwards roll over the opposition. Our forwards are pretty good albeit inconsistent and they can do this but we saw what happens when they don't get over teams last week. We have next to nothing in attack.
BJ is a threat though.
I think AD is just in a bit of a form slump at the moment, he needs to regain some confidence. I don't think he has made too many mistakes, it's more that the ones he has made have been very costly, that's dented his ego. I think he'll continue to develop.
All I want is the Tigers to play finals football again. It’s been way too long...
Though our bounce back from Madge sprays has been positiveI can see Ponga giving our new young centre / wing pairing a tough first day out ...the biggest thing we have going against us tomorrow is a must win game with the doubly difficult hurdle of two players having milestone games ...could only happen to us
