By rights we should do them, but who really f**king knows with this lot...

Burton is still there, and Penrith's lower grades have plenty of quality young players ready to step up and showcase their wares.
Yep, hope Hartigan has some contracts with him?

If panthers had of lost just one game prior it would have taken a major motivation out of them...the team they run out this week will be hellbent on maintaing their unbeaten run ....if we run out thinking this will be any easier because of who's out then it'll be another 2 points that got away. It'll take our best game yet to win this one.

From WT’s site:

Wests Tigers forward Luciano Leilua will head to the NRL Judiciary to fight his Grade 1 Shoulder Charge offence from Friday night's game against St George Illawarra.

Leilua was cited for a tackle on Dragons forward Blake Lawrie in the final minutes of his side's impressive victory but has decided to challenge the charge.

If Leilua is successful in his defence, he will be free to play in Wests Tigers' Round 13 clash against the undefeated Penrith Panthers. If not, Leilua will instead miss the next two weeks — the Panthers fixture as well as the Round 14 clash against the top-four Parramatta Eels at Bankwest Stadium.

Elsewhere, Dragons forward Tariq Sims was charged for his knee to the head on Wests Tigers hooker Jacob Liddle while Warriors fullback Reece Walsh, Cowboys forward Mitch Dunn and Storm forward Felise Kaufusi are all facing one-week bans.

Kaufusi will front the judiciary to fight his charge which could otherwise rule him out of the opening game of the State of Origin series.

Saturday's matches saw a handful of players charged but only a few seeing suspension — Panthers forward Moses Leota and Raiders prop Ryan James both set to miss their side's respective upcoming matches.

Manly Warringah are set to be without Sean Keppie and Tevita Funa after the were cited for offences in the Sea Eagles' clash against Newcastle.

Knights prop David Klemmer will be rubbed out for 2-3 weeks for a Grade 2 High Tackle on Ben Trbojevic.

If Lucy is fighting it then i'm guessing Gavin Badger would have had some input into his chances....i can't cite any stats but i'm guessing we're among the lowest in charges and sin bins since the crackdown so maybe having a 300 odd ? game ref onboard was a shrewd move.

The Storm had their entire spine out plus 3 other origin players and beat last years Prelim finalists by 24

Yet Panthers fans lose a few and are trying to tell us they cant beat the team coming 14th

This is going to be a tough game for us. We have to win. They have a good team and could towel us up.

Where have our fans been saying we can’t win, those that may be doing so are probably just geeing you up.

Seriously I think it is your game to lose given we have our spine missing.

Sure we have depth in our squad so I think we are capable of winning, but the bounce of the ball and more importantly refs calls will be a huge factor.

I think if Dylan Edwards and J’Maine Hopgood are not fit to return then our depth is tested to the limit and I would think you guys should have enough to get the job done.

Sides can overcome adversity with depth but being without an entire 1, 6, 7, 9 is a tough ask.

True but the top teams often jag wins when losing a bunch of players. Penrith are a top team. We aren't. Put it this way I don't see this as an easy win for us.

We’ll win.
The senior Penrith boys can’t handle pressure. The pressure on these wankers who can’t make the side will be huge.
The junior burger f**kheads will blow their load by the 30 minute mark and we’ll run them down in the second 40.

Neither do I, far from it, sadly given recent events the players on the field may not decide this game.

Friday night is an opportunity for our fringe players to make a statement so I expect us to turn up and put on a real good showing.

Despite the blow outs, and the ladder which is really lop sided any team is capable of beating anyone else on there day even when teams are at full strength.

I don’t know why the West’s Tigers are sitting where they are on the ladder given you seem to have the nucleus of a side who should be performing better. Obviously not a top four roster but you should be performing more consistently than you are and I’m don’t know why you aren’t going better but you would no better than me.

In that case, all is forgiven Ivan!

They are still a good side and we will need to show up.

If we have one of our horror starts, we may struggle.

A free Lucy will be a big factor but unleash the tuki!

I might actually attend and pay overs for @macnaz s usual ticketed seating.

Its great watching a game without the commentary. You learn a lot more.

1. Daine Laurie 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Adam Doueihi 4. Tommy Talau 5. James Roberts 6. Moses Mbye 7. Luke Brooks 8. James Tamou 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Alex Twal 11. Luke Garner 12. Luciano Leilua 13. Alex Seyfarth
Interchange: 14. Stefano Utoikamanu 15. Shawn Blore 16. Tom Amone 17. Thomas Mikaele 18. Michael Chee-Kam 19. Jake Simpkin 20. Tukimihia Simpkins 21. Kiah Cooper

Pretty good team for us, finally getting that consistency of a team, though will Lucy be playing? Who will take his spot if need be? I’m guessing Blore with MCK to the bench. Still a good bench though.

Its a totally dominant side as our brother @stryker predicted.

I’m very excited about Tuki and hope he plays as he will bring next level energy to the side we need to combat emerging smug.

Congrats to Joe for his origin selection and wonderful news that Liddle has re-signed. After a slow start, he’s starting to get into gear.

The sleeper is Alex, I’ve been enjoying his recent work.

A free Lucy would give me much more confidence, such is his presence.

Maybe time for Kiah?

Yep, nearly our grand final game for the year.

They all are aren’t they?!

There was that wonderful comment on the mighty game day thread that the game this year has 8 teams vying for the spoon.

Just channeling my inner @Vic Mackey at the moment, I think the pressure is back on Madge big time but for the moment, I think the side is really well thought out.

All of his steady growth players appear, perhaps more fully licensed smug than smug itself ( i stole that concept from their own thread) and meeting with Tom Amone after the game last week, I could sense he really wants to go further. If he’s selected, he won’t let us down.

But the actual meeting of minds will be which Tigers side runs out and it’s entirely up to Madge to get them to that level and the full 80.

I think it will closer than expected unless one of us blinks. If they get over us early and we panic, we are in for a long night. Unforced errors will play a role.

Its a pity we have the crackdown to contend with, but so do they. We will need to challenge the brilliant Kiks, bait him all night, get him sent if possible and no shirking.
